There is a big debate over whether health buns need to be wormed. Some say yes - some say no.

I dont worm daisy but he is not in contact with any other animals. The treatment is called Panacur and this is something you really should discuss with your vet, as worming buns isnt the same as any other creature - they have to have specialist worming treatment that requires very precise dosages.

As far as I know If a bun gets fleas/mites i think this is also something that needs treating by the vet. (Please correct me if Im wrong folks) Bunny skin is very delicate and so are their tummies - so if they get any flea treatment into their systems it can be very serious. Im not aware of anything thats available over the counter for this.

Does anyone else know anything about fleas????

yeah thats what I thought, my dad had buns when I was little and never wored or flee'd them and they were fine. Im my little village there is 7 buns 2 degu and a dog and the garden is pretty good where pests are concerned as it was my dads house before we got it and it was always tended to very well xxx

Others may disagree but I feel they should be deflead if they are outside buns. I certainly used to when Thumper was an outdoor bunny, just in case.

I used Anti-Parasite Spot On, made by Beaphar.

She had no ill effects and I used it LOADS over the years Smile

She wasn't too happy about it, but I'm confident that that was just because it was cold and wet!

In 10 years, I have never wormed her and it's never been mentioned to me by any of the many vets we've seen. But like Katie's Daisy, Thumper is never in contact with other animals.

Definitely seek advice from a vet before going down the worming route Smile

Yeh I just used to get it from P@H Smile

I used it for peace of mind, couldn't bear the thought of things crawling all over her pale

Not an issue now she's a house bun Smile

F H Brown used strong hold 30mg (for Yorkshire terrier Dogs).
I didn't think you could use it on buns but you must be able to if she does.

Advantage is what I used on the rabbits when they had fleas once it is the only product safe from the vets used on rabbits that you get from the vets.

Also do not under any circumstance use any bob martin flea or worming treatment as many cats and dogs have died after its application. (Just to make everyone aware)

I think the answer here is to check with the vet first.

My vet gave me the advantage when I took my rabbits in as I said what can I treat their fleas with and they said that Advantage is the only one that can be used.
