Re: Help me plz??
Hi there, Welcome to Happy Hoppers
Taking on any bun is a big responsibility, but just because the mum is agressive doesnt mean the baby will be.
There are lots of reasons the mum could be aggressive, usually its because they haven't always had the right care, have been fed the wrong food, kept in housing that's been to small or ignored.
If a bun is cared for properly they make wonderful pets.
Here are some of the things that are absolutely necessary if you want a happy bun.
A large hutch (at least 6ft x 2ft x 2ft) with a permenent run attached of at least the same size that the bun has access to during waking hours. This is the minimum requirement that the RSPCA says.
A bun should have access to unlimited hay and water 24/7. 80% of what a bun eats should be hay. No straw. They should also have a pellet food (not muesli mix which is bad for them). When the bun is older he/she can also have fresh veggi's.
Buns need lots of exercise and lots and lots of interaction so you will need to spend lots and lots of time with your bun.
Buns also need three Vaccinations a year - One for a nasty disease called VHD and Two for a nasty disease called Myxomatosis.
There is lots of information about how to look after a rabbit here on this website.
http://www.rabbitwelfare.co.uk/ahutchisnotenough.htm
If all of these things are followed its likely your bun will be very happy and not aggressive.
The most important thing to give our bun is plenty of love, and a dedication to his or her happiness.

Re: Help me plz??
It could just be lack of socialising with the mum, females can be nippy she may also be protecting her young, dont let this put you off, if you get one get it spayed this will make the world of difference, also spend laods of time with him/her, they well come to accept you as family.

[b]Bunns if handle and cared for correctly I find can be the most loving, comical, and mischivious of any other pet that I know and will give you as mutch back if not more than you give to them, after saying that they are a long term commitment but one that is well worth it. Good look whatever you decide

Re: Help me plz??
I got a male and female around the same time (not siblings) and they're both super well behaved and won't chew your electrical cords ect if you give them something else to do that by far is the best advice i can give you haha. There's no real big difference between a male and female qua character, but females do nip quicker if you keep annoying them, but after you spay/neuter they will be much more chill/snuggly or at least that's my experience

Re: Help me plz??
I would also say that the reason mum bites is because she hasn't had enough interaction or been cared for properly, so when she bites, owners back off even more.
If you treat the buns right they will treat you right
I agree that there is not much difference between males and females, it all depends on the personality of the bunny not the sex, they are all very different.

Re: Help me plz??
Bunnies also need to be neutered, especiially if you get a male and female you will very quickly end up with alot of rabbits. If you get two rabbits of the same sex, on reaching sexual maturity they will begin fighting and can seriously injure or even kill each other.
