Rabbit Agility Empty Rabbit Agility

As the title suggests, I have been thinking about rabbit agility a lot lately! and how to get bunnies active, I have built Buttons a bigger home for when we are not around so he has plenty of space to hop about and play, and when we are home he is completely free range around our flat. But he never seems to do much exercise, he just seems to like flopping out in the middle of the lounge or sat in his litter tray munching hay!

Buttons isn't fat and has no issues with weight etc, but i just worry that he doesn't do much exercise and will end up getting fat! whenever we try and get him to play all he wants to do is lick us or forces his head under our hand to be stroked!!

Basically I'm wanting to know what does everyone else do with their bunnies for games/agility? scratch

hiya! I do rabbit jumping with my bunny Mischief, here's a video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxyZNhyWhgY

He loves it and of course it keeps him fit. Smile He was easy to train, I just set up a few small jumps with bars that easily fall off and persuaded him over with treats. He's happy on harness and lead so will do it on that too. Smile

It all started with my bunny Jasper though who was AMAZING at jumping and seriously loved it. Here's a video of him training:

and how good he got. Very Happy

Jay had some great videos of his previous bun Bertie doing obstacle courses. He had trained Bertie to respond to a clicker and these exercises were done to help Bertie's arthritis of the spine.

I do this ^^ Smile Stewie isn't so receptive to clicker training yet, his mind is always looking elsewhere and he can't focus for long enough, but when he gets older I'll give the obstacle course a go.

I'd start with something simple that can get the buns moving without your intervention - the enrichment vids I made for HM are simple things to do.

That bunny jumping is amazing! I've been thinking of trying this with my buns but don't know where to start.

Thanks guys, Yea I was wondering about trying to do some jumps with him, or clicker training, but like stewie his attention span isn't very long!! Laughing

Ive seen your enrichment vids before and i do them, but i have to do them at night in his cage or when i go of to work in the morning, because if im arround he just isn't interested and wants me to give him the food, or he just wants stroking or to groom me!! Rolling Eyes
