You got her there quickly and the vet has acted quickly, so she couldn't be in better hands. The rest is down to Rosie and to fate.

I really hope when the phone rings it brings good news. You're very much in my thoughts, having been there myself 13 months ago.

Thank goodness you knew that it was an emergency and acted promptly.

Come on Rosie you can beat this

Rosie has had her Op and they are just waiting for her to come round more. Mike has been there all afternoon and he is going to bring her home as there is nobody on duty throughout the night at our Vet's and we could have took her to another Vet's for the night but we don't want to. We are going to have to part her from Murphy and that will be bad enough but to be in a strange place as well without Murphy will be too much for Rosie as she is a nervous bunny. We have all the meds here and we shall sit up with her through the night.

Rosie and Murphy have been together since babies and have never been parted

Mike is on his way home with Rosie and Murphy. The vet said had we left it any longer she would have died as when she cut her open she was so full of gas she would have exploded

Will be glad when they are home think it's going to be a long night......again!

Are you worried about Murphy being boisterous? Can you not keep them close, cage them next to each other or something?

Can i ask what was wrong with her? i know it was blocked pipes?? Hat off to you for knowing your bunnies so well and acting so quickly. Hope if anything like this was to happen to magnum that i would pick up on it as quickly as you. Your a brilliant bunny mummy!

Rosie had a blockage due to ingested fur and there was a huge build up of gas in her tummy due to the blockage.

Rosie has just started to pant a bit and we are hoping it's because she it too warm as she has a heat pad in with her and we had covered her with a small fleece and there is a fleece over her cage. Anyway we have took the small fleece off her just in case she is a bit too warm, she is still a bit sleepy and Mike gave her a Vetergesic injection at midnight and she has 3 more to have every 8 hours the next is at 8.00 am.
Our vet gave her subcut fluids before she came home and said we could ring or text her if there were any problems with Rosie during the night.

Rosie's Husbun Murphy is obviously missing her as he has only eaten a bit of his tea and he look's so sad so may put an indoor cage up next to Rosie tomorrow and put him in it next to her.

I'm just off to put my pj's on and make a hot drink, Mike and I are taking it in shifts to sit up and watch Rosie, he's watching her at the moment and then I will take over while he has a bit of a nap but usually we can't sleep anyway. So a long night ahead.

Are you worried about Murphy being boisterous? Can you not keep them close, cage them next to each other or something?

I believe Murphy has been norty at the vet's while they were operating on Rosie, he has done a lot of constant drumming but he would be wondering where she was I think.
He also had to come home in a separate pet carrier ( luckily we carry a spare just for wild buns that have been hit by car's and are usually sat at the side of the road badly injured ) and so he has again drummed most of the way back from the vet's, but I think he is all drummed out tonight.
We didn't really have time to set up an indoor cage next to Rosie for Murphy tonight as we were a bit behind with everything and our top concern was getting Rosie in an indoor cage and warm and cosy but we will do tomorrow .

Rosie has stopped panting and we have covered her up with the small fleece again and mike is just going to pop the heat pad in the microwave to heat it up again. She still hasn't eaten and had a tiny bit of water but she is still a bit groggy. We do keep putting the dish of water in front of her in case she wants a drink.

I still haven't got my pj's on but I have had several cups of coffee.
