Flo is as usual preoccupied with flirting through the fence with next door's lop. Whilst she is doing this she keeps stopping to have a little dig in the border. Because she is prone to this sort of behaviour and when we first moved here she kept digging up the plants I have put chicken wire all over the borders so she can't dig out and the plants stay put. The up shot of this is that she has neatly weeded much of the area. If you want to rent her I am open to offers (you do need to live next door to a male lop for it to work though). She will also do any radical pruning you need doing. Laughing

I think she would probably manage a birch. She chomped off one of my climbing roses at the base a while back I was not amused at all. It has only just begun to really recover but it lives in a chicken wire cage now to protect it's main stem. One of my bunny owning friends remarked when looking at my garden that you can tell an educated bunny owner, they keep their plants in cages not the bunnies! Laughing

Incidentally Sparky, Birch is on the medirabbit list of safe trees for rabbits. So if you speak nicely to you hoomin they might save the best yummy twigs for you lot. If they put them somewhere nice and dry they will keep for ages.

Oh, it's not the humans who want the birch tree down, it's us... we can't get to the yummiest bits you see Laughing

Humum did check it was safe to eat as bits of twig and lots of leaves fall off it so she is very happy that she doesn't have to roam the garden with the vacuum cleaner like an insane person before letting us out Laughing

It'll have to go in the end as it's dying and going rotten one side. I've suggested that they just leave it where it falls and let us dispose of it Very Happy
