It's scary how fast the years go by.  It's 5 years today since Thumper hopped off to wherever it is bunnies go when their time here is over. The bunny who never realised she was a bunny. Never ate hay in the almost 11 years I had her, drank bottled water and had a phobia of spiders, loved standing in her water bowl and had a serious mange tout addiction. I never did manage to wean her off them after the vet instructed no more veg! Still miss her and her quirky little ways Love

This might sound a bit crazy but it makes me feel a bit sad that she and my little hoomin never got to meet.  He's so good with M&J that I just know they would have got on great.  I have a pic of her in my bedroom and he does know who she is. He knows her name and I talk to him about her when he's interested in the pic. I also still have a fair amount of pics of her on my phone and he sees her there too. That's as good as I'm going to get Sad

Miss you Bubba. Hope you're happy, wherever you are xxx

Dear old Thumper, she was a legend.
It's good to remember her.
Last Wed. marked 2 months since Henry left, the next day was 12 years since Mr Toast O'Riley left me.... November marked the passing of Clawed, Misty and Penny ... we remember and smile, shed a tear and tell them we still love them and will never forget.

6 years ago today since Thumper died.

We talk about her quite a bit. The picture in my bedroom still has my little guy asking questions about her weekly.

He recently asked me why she isn’t here Crying or Very sad How do you explain to a 3yo? I just told him she was an old lady who had to go somewhere else. The inevitable “where?” then followed.

Tbh the rainbow bridge, as nice an idea as it is, has never really done it for me. And he’s too young to understand, so I told him she had an important job to do as brightest star in the sky. He often asks to go and see Thumper star so when it’s clear skies, we do. He gets all excited when he sees “her”.

6 years on and these conversations can still bring a tear to my eye.

Not a day goes by without thinking of her, and her funny little ways Love

Miss you, Bubba.
See you again one day xxx

Dear old Thumper, she was a grand matriarch of a bun. She would have loved to be a star... and, hey, there's a rabbit/hare on the moon so the Pagans used to say, so why not a Thumper star!
You could have an actual star named after her...!
Sail the Heavens in happiness Thumper.

I think of mine in the same way hunni and often cry when I remember the good times but mostly I miss the contact. Your little boy will understand soon enough sweetie but it is really lovely that he still wants to say hello to her. Children are amazing I don't care what anyone says. Hugs
