Introducing Your Forum Ambassadors

Post by Happy Hoppers on Tue Jul 01, 2008 1:06 pm

The Forum Ambassador's main function is to help ease new members into the forum community by offering them support on as personal a level as they require. All members are able to PM the Forum Ambassadors for help and advice on using the forum, and they will help where they can. If a Forum Ambassador is unable to answer your queries they will foward them to either a Moderator or Admin for assistance and they will get back to you as soon as possible. They will also endevour to ensure that no-ones on forum questions go unanswered by either providing an answer or redirecting you to someone who can.

The Forum Ambassador also has Moderator priviledges in certain sub-forums, these are Forum Information, Meet & Greet, The Infirmary, Tall Tails and Rabbit Chinwag and The Members' Lounge. Any problems arising in these forums can be directed to the Forum Ambasador, A Moderator or Admin who will aim to resolve them swiftly.

Please do not PM the Forum Ambassadors directly with health or care queries unless they are Urgent (In which case you would be better off contactng your rabbit savvy veterinarian) as this is a lot of work for them to deal with. As the forum grows we may need to recruit more Forum Ambassadors at a later date.

Your current Forum Ambassadors are Jack's-Jane and Jay and they will introduce themselves below.

Hello Very Happy

I'm Jane and I look forward to helping Sooz make Happy Hoppers Forum a fun and friendly place for Rabbit Care givers to share stories, seek advice and pass on useful information. I hope to be of some use in The Infirmary. Although I have no Veterinary Qualifications I have gained a little knowledge about Rabbit Health from looking after numerous Buns with a variety of illnesses or disabilities. Any advice I may be able to offer is that from a Bunny care giver not a Vet.

I am a bit of a computer numpty Embarassed so one thing I can guarantee to be of no help with is any Forum technical questions :lol!:

I hope everyone enjoys being part of the Happy Hoppers Community, I know Sooz has worked very hard to get the Forum up and running.

He's a single house bun who lives open range, in a flat with a balcony, has his own garden, and, quite frankly, is spoilt rotten, but that's part of the enjoyment we get! He's very endearing and smart and makes us laugh lots.

I hope I can contribute to this forum, although Bertie is blessed with good health, I have learnt a lot about bunny care and will also enjoy seeing all your photos and hearing your stories. I had no idea just how much happiness he could bring to my life, and it's great to have somewhere to share our bunny knowledge and laughs.
Best of luck with HH, Sooz and the team, and nice to meet you all ❤...toddles off to study ...yeah right :lol!:

And now...well, Sooz has asked me to join the team as the other Forum Ambassador. I feel really honoured to be asked, and hope I can help keep Happy Hoppers a happy place for us all to visit whilst building a positive and constructive community, that has lots of fun as well Very Happy

It's so great to have a place we can all gush and coo over these wonderful animals Laughing

I try to keep a light head on my shoulders, and an open mind to each person and their opinions, and I look forward to being of assistance to you all Smile

Warmest wishes,

I am sorry not to be able to continue as a Happy Hopper FA Sad
I have rather a lot going on at the moment and cant guarantee being able to give 100% to the responsibility.
I think SOOZ has done an brilliant job with setting up this Forum and I am sure that I will still be around, just not on the 'Frontline' so to speak

Re: Introducing Your Forum Ambassadors

Post by KathyT on Fri Oct 03, 2008 1:59 pm

Hello all, Wave

Well, now that Iíve picked myself up off the floor following the shock of being made FA, I suppose Iíd better introduce myself!
As you can see from my username, Iím Kathy, and I live with my other half and in-laws on a farm in Devon. Iím a fairly new bunny mum, having adopted Tibbler and Truffles in March with absolutely NO previous experience of bunsters. Consequently, like many of you, Iím still learning! I also have two guinea pigs, numerous cats, chickens, geese and cows. I donít expect many of you will be asking about the Bluetongue vaccines, but feel freeÖ. Laughing
Iím happy to help out with whatever I can, from technical issues (donít expect miracles, but I can kick most technology into some form of life) to bunny questions. Iíve been told in the past Iím a good listener as well, so if you have anything you need to get off your chest, please do PM me.
Happy Hoppers is a fantastic place, which has been totally invaluable from my perspective, on so many levels. I really hope I can pick up where Jane left off from doing a great job, and continue making this a happy place for us and our beloved furries. Iím sure everyone here will benefit from the friendliness and good advice thatís available. If you feel you arenít benefiting, tell me. If you are, tell a friend!
God lord, that looks beyond corny. Oh well.
