Re: Joey not eating UD - Poo update Mon PM
He's had his first lot of Critical care, and has managed a little nibble of his Cranberry and Dill tree so that's encouraging. He looks a little more comfortable than before too.
Definitely did the right thing taking him tonight.

No worries Maysie Since I last posted he has been nomming little bits and pieces - dried herbs, plantain, cranberry & dill tree, a bit of hay and nuggies. He's also had a bit of water from his bowl. He's moving around too, which is an improvemnt.

Re: Joey not eating UD - Poo update Mon PM
So far so good. He's eaten his breakfast ok and has been drinking from the bowl and bottle. Also had more poos, although they are ovbiously a bit dark/mishapen.
Just come back from the vets, as we had an apt. with his usual bunny vet. She felt him over and his tummy seems pretty good, just a little gassy but a lot better than last night. He's been given Zantac along with the Metacam.
Checked his mouth and teeth throughly, and there doesn't seem to be a problem with them After last night's bombshell this is good to hear.
Will be monitoring him today obviously. Thanks guys

Re: Joey not eating UD - Poo update Mon PM
Just another quick update on Micro Joe!
He is a lot better but not 100% I don't think. He's been drinking a good amount from his bowl, this morning's nuggies were nommed. Still a few poo issues, he has been going but they still pretty dark and small, and he managed to sit in an uneaten ceacotroph which went all over his foot Any ideas how long until they more normal?
Yesterday he had a 'free range' day of food. Mainly herbs, cranberry and herb tree, plus nuggies. He did have a bit of hay and orchard grass but I thought it's better to just give him whatever he wanted to get his appetite back. Today will be a more routine day (sadly for him!)

Well done little guy!
When we have stasis events it can sometimes take 4-5 days to get things back on track. We have free food days when this happens too, getting food in is more important.
Please give Joey a cuddle from me x

Same here, it can take a few days. Out of interest, what nuggets do you feed? We've been *really* impressed with Science Selective. Humum has finally got even me to eat it (although we still get a mix of that and Burgess Excel).

Sparky, his nuggies are Oxbow Bunny Basics T (Timothy hay based). Apparently they are relatively low in protein.

Glad to hear he's getting back to normal!
Free food day is certainly what I'd do, get in what you can to sort that little belly out and keep it moving.
