Can anyone help. I am hoping to make up a first aid box for the buns in my life, I have one for Holly oh yes and the kids. What would you recommend I should and shouldn't have for those Just in Case moments. Also what would I use it for study Thank you.

We have an article by the RWAF on just this listed here: First Aid Kit.

I have to admit from running the rescue I have a whole cabinet dedicated to medications but a lot of them are POMs. I would always keep Infacol, Science Recovery, some 1ml syringes (minus needle), some Sudocrem, some antiseptic wound wash, some probiotics and some bandages in along with some sterile wipes, a heat pad and some clean towels.

Buns First Aid Empty Re: Buns First Aid

I have a mini pharmacy in my kitchen as my Vet allows me to keep a lot of prescription meds at home due to the number of Buns with 'problems' that I have.

Useful things to have in a basic first aid box are :
Infacol
Fibreplex probiotic
1ml disposable syringes
sterile saline solution ( I prefer to use this rather than an antiseptic solution for flushing out a wound )
Dry Iodine Spray
Aloe Vera Gel ( useful for minor skin abrasions)
Sterile dressing pads
Micropore Tape
Cohesive Bandage
Round ended scissors
Styptic Pencil
Cotton Buds
Camomile and Spearmint Tea ( soothing for Buns with tummy pain )
Critical Care ( for syringe feeds )

There's probably stuff I've missed so will add to the list when/if my brain gets into gear !!

You guys are all so organised and you Dawn.. a first aid kid for every species! I have a "bunny drawer" with bits in. I have fibreplex, infacol, syringes, metacam (but only as I have it from a vet trip) - cotton pads, science recovery, eye drops (prescription from vets), cotton buds, and some Baytril (again from vets ) which I always keep in.

We also have aloe vera gel to put on cuts but I have only used twice, not quite sure about it.
