Dolly and Marley's Wendyhouse / ud 27/8/13

As you know Dolly and Marley are stopping with us while Sophia is at college and not so long ago we saw this Wendy house on offer and bought it as it will always come in handy for bunnies, but at the moment it's going to be the home for the Summer's for Dolly and Marley. ( They will be inside for Winter).

Mike started work on it today and is busy insulating the inside at the moment with foil insulation, next he will be boarding it out over the foil insulation.

I am going to paint the Wendy house when the weather is better ( looks like rain today ) it will be Cuprinol Garden Shade 'Seagrass' with Cuprinol Garden Shade 'Country Cream' round the window and door.

We have placed the Wendy house facing the back kitchen door so that we can keep an eye on them throughout the day. Mike will be making a run to attach on the front of their house.

fab house, Mike's done a great job with the insulation - mine always ends up looking messy!

How fabulous - they're going to love that

Mike has now boarded the floor and has started on the sides of the Wendy house.





This will eventually be painted white or cream

Sorry i missed this Maysie, I havent been on the forum much, although Im sure I will have recieved an email

Its looking fab, I think i could even kip in there with them on a warm night!! Will access be a problem/aukward if the run is on the front? Its looking fab though, and great choice of colours. Marley adn Dolly will love it. Ive started packing some of their stuff away - their toys and things that you can make use of. I know you said they dont need much, but it would only go in the bin, as we may be moving whilst they are with you too...although, we are still yet to sell the house.

Okie doke, ill bring their things. I will also bring their little house in that case. They prefer sitting on it rather than in it, but its a good bolt hole and can be used inside or out. Going to get them booked in at the vets for a dental check and get their records printed and things. Thanks for doing this Maysie, I cant thank you and Mike enough for what youve done for me.

When is the big move?

Marley and Dolly are off on their extended holidays either on the 31st of Aug or 1st September...Wether their new home from home will be ready, we will have to see! But they will be quite happy in the boarding shed until their new digs are satisfactory

Mike has finished boarding inside the Wendyhouse he has boarded the ceiling as well and double insulated the floor and put another wood floor on top of the original. I'm hoping to paint it this week and order some aviary panels to make a walk in pen attached to the Wendyhouse.

Its looking fab! Dont worry about a shelf under the window Maysie. Their little house is the perfect height, and they love sitting on top of it with a fleece I havent managed to get anymore pictures of their playhouse for you, yet. Is there anything in particular you want to see? The photos I sent/posted on here are probably the best ones ... You have seen it since the ramp and the second storey was added, havent you? With the bunting at the back?

Oh that's great about the little house and yes I think I have saved the photos off the forum of inside.  Bring as much as you like to go inside their Wendyhouse as it will make them feel at home. Mike does a little bit more when he get's the time I keep reminding him them that they will soon be here

It was painted inside the other day 'Country Cream' and today it's been painted on the outside 'Seagrass' I love it. He is doing the door and window tomorrow

He also put a cat flap in the door today as well.

Holly made me go to bed last night as we were both on here at 3:30 am in the morning and I was up at 8:00 am this morning

Mikes put the vinyl floor covering down today. This is also what our boys are having in their shed  
There's just beading to go on which he is doing now.
