Has anyone tried these and if so are they good for buns? I feed Burgess Excel nuggets and the buns love them, but thought about trying the P@h brand ones. I was a bit concerned that the p@h version had 4 % less fibre than excel......what does anyone think?

My Thumper ate them for years without problem, and I had her for nearly 11 years so there can't be anything wrong with them!

I only switched her to excel on the advice of someone here because excel do a mature food and pets at home don't. Well, they didn't at the time.

BUT I'm in the if-it's-not-broken-don't-fix-it camp. If Lilly and Jaser are fine on excel I'm not sure I'd be switching.

You probably already know this but if you are going to switch food, do it slowly, changing 10% per day Very Happy

I agree that about not fixing things that aren't broke.

Also I would always encourage people to go for a higher fibre pellet. Whilst Pah Pellets have 14g per hundred grams and Excel has 19g science selective and oxbow have 25g. So when viewed accross the range of rabbit foods out there the PaH pellets do seem as quite low in fibre. When invited I will happily bang on about how much improved my buns poo is when I feed them just one or two fibafirst sticks in a day and that has 30% fibre. So realy what I am saying is buy the food that has the highest fibre content that you can afford.

(BTW if it is a price issue Harringtons optimum premium -that used to be Wagg optimum premium - has a 17g per 100g of fibre and is a similar price to the PaH food and is available in some supermarkets.)

Myrtle used to have PaH nuggets and loved them! We only decided to switch to burgess as they fit better in her treat ball (bit smaller).

Thanks for the reply guys, I stuck with Excel, but also got some fibafirst sticks as recommended above Very Happy
I give them a stick between the 2 buns a day with a few less nugs. Smile
