Bye bye little one
Our last g/p sadly had to be pts today, she had a stroke some time through the night, I noticed she was very wobble, not scared of heights like usual when I held her on my hands, she just sat there looking kinda doopey, checked her eye response, not blinking when fingers went near her eye, suspected a stroke, took her in the house in hubbys arms while I quickly got showered & dressed. Rushed down to vet, stephen diagnosed a severe heart murmur, causing a stroke, the is pretty sure thats what happened to her sister, altho hers was instant. She couldnt hear, see or walk properly dragging her leg behind her. I held her for 1 last time, before she was given the injection.

Re: Bye bye little one
Thanks hun, vet was even upset that he didnt hear the murmur in her sister when she was in for mites, possible wasnt to bad but got worse as they got older. He said if I get another piggie bring him/her straight in for a full exam free of charge. Dont think will get anymore, deffo not from pet shop, not with this happening to often, breeders over breeding, I may consider a rescue, but not till after the winter, most rescues will be inside the now, so the temp difference will kill him/her.

Feeling so sad, I know there was nothing we could have done. I got her to the vet straight away. I held her while he prepared the injection. She cuddled into me see close, I think she knew it was her last few minutes. Miss hearing them.
