What veg are you giving her?

She should ideally have 80% hay and 10% nuggies and 10% veg.

Readigrass gives my bunnies a poorly belly, or it could be one part of the veg.

My bunnies don't get veg (except occasionally as a treat), though they get a small amount of fresh herbs a day and sometimes dried herbs/forage Smile

In you photo you show quite a lot of lettuce in the fresh food. Lettuce is quite bad for buns. Assuming you photo is all of what you feed your bun the you need to adjust the diet a lot. Here is the link to the RWAF's going green guide to feeding buns. It has the safe to eat list of foods. Also you need to be feeding a pile of hay at least as big as your bun every day.

redigrass should only be a small amount per bowl. could be two bowls is wayyy too much for her as it does tend to upset most buns tums.

There does appear to be a lot of veg there and redigrass can upset the tummy, I know you said you cut it out but 2 bowls is definitely too much I woult think, especially if you are giving it to her every day, it is meant more as a treat grass really. Dougal cannot have this grass, he loves it but he gets an upset tummy, I think a lot of it will be veg. Did you introduce a small piece at a time of each veg too to see what upsets her or does not hun.? I took this slow with Dougal and left him 3 days in-between just to be sure his poops stayed well, then introduce the next one. We give Dougal mainly dried herbs for his herb/veg side of it, he gets veg about 2 times a week, sometime 3 along with fresh herbs but rest of days he gets the dried ones.

They sound good pellets hun, oxbow do good hays too. We use Burgess excel but some buns get bad tums form these, Dougal is great on them, the other popular one is science selective which a lot of hoppers are on.

Hay is the main part of the diet and as long as she eats a lot of it this should help her tum a lot.

I am sorry to hear she is having a bad tummy and I hope that this helps you hun. Let us know how she goes. She is so adorable your rabbit. When I first got Dougal I was very unsure about a lot of things, veg etc but found this forum very helpful, great people on here and always willing to help.

I would certainly cut down on the redigrass, it is very rich. Mine only get a pinch at suppertime now along with dried herbs. Mine are loving the new range supplied by The Hay Experts.

I would also cut right down on the lettuce type veg too - mine only get romaine lettuce and occasionally rocket.

I would cut out everything except hay and pellets. Then very gradually introduce other things, starting with gentle herbs like coriander, parsley, dill, mint and basil but only ever in tiny amounts and one a week until you can see what effect it has on her.

We get unlimited hay, a few pellets and some dried leafy bits daily. A tiny handful of readigrass per bun a couple of times a week. We only get fresh herbs now if we are poorly and that is all we will eat; we had so many problems with herbs and veg giving buns sticky bottoms that we don't get any. Half the time it is not the veg / herbs themselves but the rubbish they are sprayed with (spring greens often seem to have a waxy substance on them which will not wash off). We'll get more herbs when they start growing in our garden again and Humum knows they are safe  Smile

Neither of my two get fresh veg or herbs as, like Sparky has said, they do their tummies absolutely no favours Sad

Both of my two seem to do absolutely fine on just hay, pellets, dried herbs and a pinch of Readigrass every few days as a treat Thumbs Up

I agree with this , Mike has had words on several occasions with the manager at our Tesco as we buy a lot of cabbages and at the moment they are awful and Mike think's they are storing them far to high in their freezers, they are brown round the edges and wilt within days. Some are dripping wet when you get them.  Sad

Sounds like good advice to me, luckily Dougal has not had any tummy upsets from his herbs and veg , I hope now I have said that he does not start doing, he only gets fresh herbs and veg a couple of times a week, rest of week he has dried stuff and he loves them. He goes back to them when he wants some as he does not eat them all at once so he is good that way too, all buns tums react differently. I cannot wait to start growing herbs again soon and oat grass and the other grass seeds we have, he loves them. That way I can just give those over the summer. Once weather starts to get warmer I will start planting them ready.

Dougal did not like the Blackcurrant leaves from hay experts but liked the birch, well he had to be in the mood, but he loved the fresh ones from Sparkys humum.

There is some really tasty hay from www.hayforpets.co.uk that mine eat loads of. They didn't really like Timothy Hay but loved the "Ings" from this company. :-)

I sprinkle some redigrass on top of normal hay, then it gets eaten with the rest of the hay too Smile

This diagram shows what bunnies intake needs to be, although ignore the timothy hay, it should just be hay in general in my opinion.
