Towards evening the natural steroid levels in your body begin to drop. Add that to what c. bolduan and Cheryl have said and that is what causes your congested misery. As said, chamomile w/ honey at bedtime is great. Milk products thicken mucus. Gargle with salt water for a sore throat. Suck on natural juice flavored candies for throat irritation, drink plenty of juices--ever try hot lemonade?

I hop you are improving!

You sound like me when I get bronchitis I cough till I'm nearly sick, I get very congested and find it hard to breathe so I use Menthol Crystals I add a few crystals to an old washing up bowl and then a towel over my head and breathe in. They really clear your nose and airways and are really good. You can usually get them from any chemist but follow the instructions carefully.

Hope you feel better soon xxxxxxxxxx  Hugs Hugs

Thanks all Hugs

I've had a very lazy duvet day today and the boyfriend has looked after me. I'm still achey and headachey but the chest pain has died down, and I *think* the coughing has too. I'm sleeping better and mum says she could hear a difference in the amount I was coughing. Fingers crossed!

Thank you Holly Hugs

I feel SO much better today. My cough is lingering a bit still but I slept like a baby and have no headache or any of the other general aches and pains. I think what I needed was a good day's rest or two, and having got it, it has helped so much! Very Happy

I am so glad your boyfriend is looking after you lovey, you get plenty of rest. I am glad your sleep is improving, coughing all night or all day for that matter makes you feel totally exhausted.

Hugs
