Directory of Foster Carers

This thread should form a complete list of all members willing to offer their services as fosterers to a rescue. We ask that members fill in the following template and post it on this thread to make this first port of call for rescue's in need of help.

Don't worry if you have never fostered before, the rescue will be there with help and advice as well as offering support every step of the way. Every rescue runs their foster care differently so please discuss individual needs before commiting. This way both parties are clear on where they stand.

Please note many rescue's require their foster carers to be 18 or over.

Any other information: I used to run my own rescue and have a wealth of experience with sick & injured rabbits of all ages as well as behavioural issue's.

•Location: Skipton, North Yorkshire

•Accomodation offered (size, in or out): Depends what's available at the time. Will meet 'adoption standards'. I have two 6x2x2ft hutches with runs available, outdoor accommodation only, though possibly negotiable.

•Spaces available (pairs/singles): As above.

•Any special experience: Have experience of dental bunny and bunny with bladder issues. I'm registered with FHB and take my buns there if that may be of use for special cases.

•Own Transport/Willing to Travel: I drive but a don't like long distances.

•If Yes to above, within what radius: Fairly local but negotiable.

•Any rescues previously fostered for: RACR (Rescue) Nottingham, Sue's Rabbit Rescue, Dewsbury.
•Any other information: Very keen to help. Though I'm aware that neutering/vaccinating is expensive in this area compared to others so will need to be considered.

•Spaces available (pairs/singles): Whatever of the above that is empty at the time....

•Any special experience: I can give injections, I am good with pregnant does and babies, I have dental bunnies, and bunnies with long term conditions/meds

•Own Transport/Willing to Travel: I have a car and I LOVE to drive

•If Yes to above, within what radius: Depends on the day, time and if I am bored of driving at that time, Also my work hours can be random.
