I wish they would ban hunting and guns
This angers me and is BS the excuse the American made for shooting it.
Stop giving people guns and allowing hunting int he first place then Rare wolves like this do not get shot. Look at this rare stunning wolf not seen for over 80 years only to be shot by some fool.

Re: I wish they would ban hunting and guns
It doesn't even look like a coyote! It isn't open hunting season for deer, buns, squirrels & etc. Looks like coyotes and groundhogs are the only continuous seasons.
Coyotes have become a dangerous problem in parts of the USA. My suburban area included. They are huge and can scale an 8ft fence in a snap. In our neighborhood they have been carrying off pets-even those in proper chainlink kennels with roofs. They have gone after several toddlers and have been seen around school playgrounds. They think that they are responsible for the extinction of several species of woodland creatures. Scary.
They cannot trap them because there is no place to release them without upsetting the ecosystem where they are sent. Its the exceptional drought that is causing the pronominal where I live. I don't know what the answer is.

Re: I wish they would ban hunting and guns
I think the idea of hunting down and shooting any defenseless, innocent animal for pleasure is absolutely barbaric
This is a really sad situation which, as you rightly said, wouldn't have occurred if people didn't consider such a sick activity "sport"...

This was on the Pawnation website: "Among areas of highest population density are urban areas of the United Kingdom, where up to 30 red foxes per square 1/3-mile can coexist." That is a LOT of foxes! There are areas of the USA where the red foxes have been totally killed off. Not by humans but by the coyotes! Send your excess foxes here! I know they love to eat bunnies but they are beautiful creatures and they do not deserve to be killed off in areas native to them.

I agree with everyone. I wish they would stop in any country killing animals, I hate it. I hate the **** excuse for badger culling too, it is just cruel, who are we to say what deserves to live and thrive and what does not. I agree, foxes are stunning Holly and no animal should be killed. I think they should stop selling guns too, no guns means less dead animals , not much hunting and no dead people as much either, far harder to kill when you have to be close up.

Re: I wish they would ban hunting and guns
If we would let nature sort it out....
Yes there is prey and predators. But this is how it is intended.
Some animals get killed because they are young, old, injured and so on. Not nice but natural.
The human killing any animal for fun is not natural but sick.
No disrespect if an animal gets killed for survival like the native American did it. Every part was used and the creature cherished for the fact of sustaining the human race. Nowadays it's just ugly.
Got fox hunting going on where I life and it sends cold shivers down my spine each single time it occurs.
I just dont get it!

There are responsible hunters that do eat all they kill. My one set of grandparents lived very close to the land. They grew 95% of their food, raised chickens, cows, pigs and hunted on their land responsibly. Unfortunately, few people respect the land like that now.(They were born around 1900. My grandmother was part Cherokee and I've always thought that had something to do with it. Of the people I know that hunt they all seem to be responsible. We are often offered venison but I don't care for it. Sounds idyllic, yes? During hunting seasons the outdoors are filled with irresponsible hunters shooting everything that moves--including each.other. Maybe they will make each other extinct.
