Little monkey

Post by KatieB on Wed Jul 09, 2014 12:06 pm

So over the past few days Charlie has had quite a bad belly. it would clear up during the day (after a dose of fibreplex) all the while they were contained and the in the eve, early the next morning bad again...

this has been going on for days and although not massively worried (they often get dodgy tums due to all the medication they are on) I was starting to get concerned.....

Then yesterday - I let the monsters out at lunch for a run about and he made a bee line for the fence.... when i looked some weird plant or other had started to grow through from next door...and there he was with a leaf in his mouth! By the looks of it the little beast has been nibbling on it for days!!!!

Needless to say, It has been removed (this was greeted with a stamp and a death glare) and today his belly was fine.

You cannot let your guard down for even a second!!

They are little terrors at times arnt they, I think they just do it o purpose to wind us up and keep us on our toes  Laughing Laughing .

I get the death glare often form Dougal, especially if I move anything or sit on what he deems is his.

I hope that his tummy clears and glad it was not a dangerous plant to cause worse than a upset tum. Indeed , you have to have eyes in the back of your head with these hoppy little devils don’t ya?  Laughing . But they are awesome and things like this, let's face it, it makes us laugh too even if it is not meant to.

Healing vibes for his tum.

And people persist in claiming that they know not to eat things that are bad for them! I always think that doesn't work for humans so why would it work for animals and Charlie has just proven it.

Thank goodness you got to the bottom of the problem though.

Monkey I call this!
Know what you mean with the death glare. I share my life with a lady that gives me exactly this for various reasons. Ie any change to warren layout or content even if it means improvement. If some other bun gets a treat or herself is due to be groomed Laughing
Glad you found the nasty plant before it could cause more serious troubles! Thumbs Up Love

They absolutely do not - mine will eat anything! I have caught Charlie eating a fat ball that had fallen of the bird table, and he has made several attempts on my sunflowers.

And if it were true, surely they'd realise that carpet and skirting boards were no good!!

Ooh, little monkey indeed! No Laughing

I'm glad you found the culprit though. Hopefully there will be no more dodgy tums!

I know exactly what you all mean about eyes in the back of your head - I turned around one day to see Mojo's bum poking out into our side of the garden. The rest of his body had dug under the fence and was in next door's!! No

It is like having small children around isn't it, you have to have eyes everywhere? All my bunnies have loved things that they cannot have so I knkow about the death glare only too well LOL!!
