How are your buns coping with the fireworks?

Post by KatieB on Sat Nov 08, 2014 7:01 pm

I don't know about you...but I'm blimmin sick of them now.

Night after night after night - seriously... ENOUGH!

Luckily Charlie and Annie don't really care at all, but Daisy doesn't like them, and I'm wondering if this has anything to do with him feeling poorly. He doesn't seem overly stressed but he isn't as unphased as the other two.

Just thinking. As he stopped eating on Wednesday to you think it is possible that the noise bothered and disturbed him to point of distress and hence he won't eat?

Am fed up with them too, thankfully the buns don't seem to be frightened by them but Gabe's poops were very small last weekend Hmmm so maybe he was affected. Claudia may have a point about Daisy.

Bonfire night is well past it's sell by date as far as I am concerned - bah humbug!

At the height of the bangs here Bruce and Flo were stretched out and loved up. But then again Flo has always been most likely to lie in front of the telly during war programs and she is at her most nosey when the hoover is on. She's quite wrong generally.

I went outside tonight when your local town display started just to check Sasha out - goodness knows what I would have done if she was freaking as she is a nightmare to move! She was laid in a corner of her downstairs hutch snoozing and completely blanking the banks and noise. She spotted that I had some greens for her so was a bit excited about food. She simply got stuck into her grub and didn't really bother about the noise. I was quite relieved.

Willow is fine but Mr Mo is not a fan. He was a bit quiet/off his food last night when they were going all over the street, but he seemed a bit cheerier when they'd finished later in the evening. He is a sensitive little soul Sad

We have been lucky here, there is only the odd one. Holly doesn't seem too bothered but our kitty is scared of the bangs. I do agree however, enough is enough.

Hector is the opposite of what everyone says rabbits are, he's completely unphased by fireworks/loud noises in general, bullies the dogs, bosses around the humans, has had some spectacular accidents but hasn't yet hurt himself (touch wood!!) he's so confident it's ridiculous!
