Crackers

Post by Ruffin on Wed Nov 19, 2014 9:01 pm

Well I have known ever since I started caring for bunns that they were totaly crackers  Laughing but this morning they have exceled therselves  No when I went into the garage to let the geese out of there pen which is surounded on 3 sides by bunn the hutches, and not to forget the geese are on the viscious scale of 12 out of 10  Twisted Evil  Twisted Evil I find that the Crazy gang have sprung an escape from the hutch into the pen (JAZZ  Suspect ) we have Fudge sat next to Clyde eating his hay Jazz is sat next to Bonnie having a wash with Daist & Danndy the GP's each stood with there front paws up on the goosys food bowl and there heads in it munching away whilst the geese looked on looking extremly confused  confused as to being invaded by these funny little critters with no feathers that walk and hop about on four legs and nick there food Laughing  Laughing

No I think they are used to the buns and GP's there pen is souronded by the hutches so they have been brought up from 3 weeks old with them. I also think they would protect the bunns probably think they are part of ther flock  No

Ha ha, thanks for sharing that love. When Paul was a kiddy he has a rural milk round and there was geese who used to hide in a clump of bushes and wait for him to rattle the bottles and chase him, it was a big game to them, really cute.

Clever and norty bunnies Laughing

Geese do scare me. As a child our neighbours had geese - I can still remember being chased down my parents long drive by one. I must have been about 6 or 7 at the time. I am sure I managed to get behind the front door just in time Wink

The are lovely Bonnie will let me stroke her with no problem but Clyde is a typical Embden male very teratorial so if I am stroking her he will come over and try and protect her. If he does try and attack anything if I shout his name and say no he will back off. I cant wait to see what happens when she starts laying eggs can imagine her looking at it as if to say wheres that come from Laughing

So how did you get the Crazy Gang out of the geese pen? I should imagine that as soon as you set foot in there, you would get a good pecking. Lol

Geese are really scary and they use them around some bonded warehouses in Scotland because they are aggressively territorial and they make a right racket!

I can go in with them but I just moved the gate away and they came out as they do every morning and followed me into the garden then went back told the crazy gang off and encoraged them back into the hutch using food as a lever. We certanly know now when theres anybody about the geese are so loud. On a sadder note Danndy the Guinea Pig passed away on Sunday she was the daughter of Daisy and never stopped queeking  Sad
