As you may have read in other posts I've not been at all well since the beginning of January. But there is always one bright spot to my day: getting up to be greeted by a frantically fussy bun!
For three weeks I was too ill to even go to bed at night (I had PND and an horrendous cough which made lying down impossible) so I slept as best as I could in my armchair. Then I began to improve a little and about three weeks ago I started going to bed again and this meant Henners was alone for six-eight hours and it was soon obvious that he really did miss his mum!
Each morning when I open the dining room door he rushes up with mini binkies and a cheeky look in his eyes. We have a big reunion with lots of nose rubs and ankle buts, and he does this funny little on the spot binky-type dance (like a lamb bouncing on the spot). Then I have to do the bunny-shuffle to avoid treading on him as I go round opening curtains ... he is weaving round my feet, ankle butting and grunting!
We are so pleased to see each other again.

Henners is the best tonic ... better at lifting my spirits than any pills the Dr doles out.

He got really upset this morning when I became very ill and burst into tears. Whatever it is that ails me seems to come in waves, I'll feel reasonable for several hours then suddenly the symptoms start coming thick and fast (burning throat and eyes, sore mouth, cough and ear ache) until I have a raging temperature that lasts about three minutes before disappearing and leaving me a limp wreck. This morning things were a bit different because until this morning only my left side had been affected; this morning it was the right side and I had dreadful sharp, needling pains under my chin and along my jaw line and for the first time I found myself in floods of tears and unable to stop. Poor Henry didn't know what to make of me.
First he ran into his crate and hid under the shelf. I felt awful for scaring him but I was at the end of my tether and trying to make sense of what was happening to me to the Dr's receptionist (not the brightest trophy on the shelf). When I put the phone down it was maybe half an hour before I calmed down and stopped crying. Then Henners hopped over to me and sat up with his paws on my leg looking so serious. I just curled on the hearth rug with him and fell asleep. I awoke to find hip draped across my waist watching me.
Any way, I'm at the Dr's in the morning to have bloods taken for "extensive testing" (the Dr's words). I have a following appointment with the Dr as well and PLEASE THE FATES they will get to the bottom of this. I've spent 9 weeks sat in a chair getting fat .... I've been eating jelly and custard and ice cream and sucking sweets to try and help my throat ... I cannot take much more of this.

Nwoodwench I'm sending some reiki vibes to you and hugs on top of it.
Have you ever been checked for allergies?
Hope the tests tomorrow bring some conclusion.
You have asked my about colloidal silver it is a natural antibacterial, anti fungal and antiviral solution. Check it on google. If interested don't by any of the net it is far to expensive. I produce my own and use it widely for cleaning the warrens, as a remedy on cuts and wounds or even internally ie stomach upset. Also used it for inhaling when I got a cold. If you want to try some pm me.HugsHugsHugs

What a little character he sounds, he must be adorable love. Holly sleeps with me on my bed but when I come into the room, she sometimes binkies, it is wonderful to see. I hope you are feeling better too angel, you have been really poorly.

Thanks folks!
I've had an whole days worth of tests for everything bar bum warts (I haven't got those by the way). Blood tests, skin tests, saliva tests, urine tests, poop tests .... I've had the lot!
Dear Henry has so far provided the best relief medicine.

Yes, he can be very active but seems to be content to have me as an onlooker who laughs and cheers him on.  But with spring warming up I want to be able to get out in my garden and do all the mundane spring cleaning jobs around the house. So far this "thing" as always cleared by late May and I have been safe and free of it until mid October ... that's how it's been for nine years but I'm always scared THIS will be the year it doesn't go away. And this year it's been different in several ways and that scares me more than previously.
Henry will need to be a strong bun if he is to be my nurse.

All animals are perceptive to any change in health be physical, emotional and even spiritual effecting others in their environment.
For years we had a Tom at the hospice in Bristol. When ever a patient entered the active dying phase this Tom would visit them frequently. Just spending time with them or groomong, purring and be there.
It was spooky because we nurses knew what it mend when he picked up a new patient. By the way he was without fail! So much so that one nurse saw him sitting on our receptionist  car for hours and trying to make contact with her a few times during the day.
Her husband phoned us next morning to say he found his wife had died in her sleep during the night. We were gobsmacked.
They just seem to have more intuition and insight. Something many humans are missing completely.
