There really should be.
There as been so much research into dog/cat intelligence, so much written about their cleverness; it's time rabbits were acknowledged. They continue to astound me almost daily.

I wonder if Anne McBride has ever done anything?  She has done sooo much Rabbit research, id be surprised if it hadnt been considered.

I used to have doggies (a westie and a scottie).  I have to say that while they were clever.... neither one of them was as clever as Charlie.

I often tell this story to demonstrate how clever he is but....  Last summer we had opened the back door up to let air circulate and placed a section of pen across the door so Charlie and Daisy could not get at each other.  Because the mere sight of daisy was causing charlie to strop I put a towel over it so that they couldnt see each other either.  We had left a bag of shredded paper in a bin bag in the garden ready to go for recycling.  Charlie dragged the bin bag accross the garden to the back door, to climb on it, so that he could see Daisy over the top.

Now I work with people who are not that clever!

Daisy is clever but not quite as clever as Charlie. But Im not sure if thats because he cant be bothered.... why should he prove himself.... its us that should be proving our worthiness to him

And as for Annabelle...... bless her heart. She would not be good use of a study into intellegence at all.

Yes, Katie, that's the type of thing I mean. Of all my rabbits only Mister Toast O'Riley was ... er... dopey! He was just a big loveable slob of a buck.
Clawed was mega intelligent and fearless; Toffee and her daughter Truffle were average; Mister Starbuck was average bright and Mister Laurie (Lil Loll) was bright enough to carry his food out of the chilly dining room to eat it in the warmth on the sitting room hearth rug.
Henry is proving himself very much in the Clawed mold, very confident and quite intelligent. But I do believe he has a rather quirky sense of humour as well. (Plus a shoe lace fetish ... he just cannot leave them a lone.)

Bubbles bright and feisty, will use intelligence if it is territorial of food involved.
Vernon the clever one, figures things out, nosy and will get what he wants.
D'Layla up for cuddles at any time and beautiful. But a bit daft.

I am not sure love, you can train them to do tricks so I think there must have been some research done somewhere. Sometimes I think Holly is challenged in the clever department and then she will do something which will prove me totally wrong. Keeping us guessing as usual.

Yes, Jo, Henry can play "the dumb card" when it pleases him.
But he is very quick to learn so I know he's not thick.
I don't know which is most wonderful ... a sharp as a tack buck like Henners or a big old softie darling like Riley was. Both are prety wonderful and loveable.
