Re: Strange behaviour from Molly :(
Maybe she is just sleepy after the weather we've been having. Half naps?
Henners will sleep, really sleep, between 11am and 6pm. He gets his head down, eyes tight shut and nothing disturbs him, even visitors only provoke only an half open eye as they pass by. He wakes for his wild forage at around 2-30 and for his toast at around 4-30, two breaks of about ten minutes each time, but that's it.
I've never had a rabbit who actually sleeps for hours on end. Flop-naps of about 3 minute duration was the norm for all the others ... but Henners could win medals for his slumbers.

Re: Strange behaviour from Molly :(
She seems ok! I'm still keeping a close eye on her but she's been much more herself the last few days.
I'm wondering if she gave herself a bit of a knock tumbling out for the castle (ruin!) the other night.
Hay consumption is still pretty low tho

Re: Strange behaviour from Molly :(
Hay fanatic Henry is only half interested in hay these days. Wild forage is top of the menu.
I wonder if it's the heat wave making her lethargic.
Or she may have deviced this cunning plan to stop you booting her out into the garage.... make you too worried to let her out of your sight!

Re: Strange behaviour from Molly :(
Great! But commonly a rabbit is at rest or sleeping, it is likely to be in a 'loaf' position, feet tucked under the body, ears inclined along the back and eyes half closed, Its kind of understanding and communicating With rabbits body language.
Re: Strange behaviour from Molly :(
I'll have to explain that posture thing to Henry. He zonks most afternoons stretched full length on his side and he stays so for hours. He will sleep in the loaf position to and on his back.... in fact in any postition he fancies, but he does seem to prefer the one that takes up the most space!

Re: Strange behaviour from Molly :(
Ha ha Woodwench, I agree, when Holly is stretched out fully at an awkward angle, my room in the bed is definitely compromised
