My Buns in a Million - Willow and Mr Mo

Post by FluffSlave on Fri Aug 07, 2015 9:21 pm

I am doing this now as I don't feel I will be able to visit for quite a while after this. I am trying to 'organise' and 'get things done' - it seems to be my way of dealing with things. Their room is cleared out, their toys, bowls and blankets packed tidily away, and now I feel I should do their tribute at the same time, whilst I'm in this mindset. It doesn't feel too soon for some reason. I feel they deserve this.

Whilst I am utterly heartbroken and feel constantly choked up and totally empty inside, I am at peace with my decision. They're at the Rainbow Bridge now, enjoying themselves and are both pain free and happy. They shared lots of yummy treats before we went up to the vets - and I spent the morning out on the decking in the sunshine with them having breakfast and cuddling Love

The house certainly feels empty without them, and my heart far emptier. But they both had a wonderful life and gave me so much back in return. They truly were my 'buns in a million' and they'll always live on in my heart.

Binky free, my beautiful babies Love

Mr Mo - my beautiful, blue-eyed boy. How you changed from that skinny little bun who came home with us those few years ago. I'll never forget the first picture I saw of you. I knew immediately you were a diamond in the rough, a 'fixer upper'... and that's just what we did. In your short time with us (which just doesn't feel enough), you transformed from this:

Into this Love

You changed me in so many ways, Mo. You taught me that to love an animal with all my heart, and to create a special bond, there didn't need to be physical contact. You and I had a special relationship. We had an understanding. And we shared a 'different' kind of love - but still as strong as any other.

You loved your days out in the garden...

And you were totally devoted to Willow Love

Enjoy the bridge, buddy. You can binky and sunbathe, right with your wifey, for the rest of your time there Love

And my precious Willow - where do I even start with you? You truly were the pet of a lifetime. We shared such an amazing bond. People could never believe how tame and friendly you were. Right from the day I brought you home, as a tiny baby. 20 minutes after arriving you settled in and flopped on my bed. You knew you were home Love

We shared so many happy memories in those first few years - just you and I - didn't we? Love

Never have I known an animal with so much character, so much zest and love for life as you had, Willow. You made us laugh every day Laughing

You gave me love and laughter every day, my beautiful girl - and for that I am eternally grateful. Letting you go was the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but when we looked at each other that one last time, you told me you were ready. It was the least I could do for you, to send you to the bridge before your suffering became worse.

I will never forget either of you, my beautiful bunnies. You taught me what it truly meant to love something with every ounce of you. I am totally utterly lost without you both here, but I am glad you got to make your final journey together, and are with each other now at the bridge.

Willow and Mojo, I love you with all of my heart and you will forever live on in my memories. Binky free, babies Love

The way is bright with sunlight fair,
Together they journey free of care.
The grass is green and waving tall,
Two rabbits heed the Rainbows call.

R.I.P. Mr Mo and Willow.

Ohhh, lovely to see them having a great time.
I read this a long time ago and think it is worth sharing

It come to me that every time I lose a bunny they take a piece of my heart with them
And every time a new bunny who comes into my live gifts me with a piece of their heart.
If I live long enough all components of my heart will be bunny
and I will become as generous and loving as they are
binky free Willow and Mr. Mo
