He's at it again...
Mercy me, I thought it was over but Henry is moulting again!!!!!
It appears to only belly fur (at the moment) and the ghost rabbits on my rugs and carpets are all made up of that type of fur, but .... I don't think I can take it again. Not so soon after the horrors of his mid summer moult-mare.
I'm now worried about lighting fires in case it sends him into a full moult.
HELP!!!!!

Re: He's at it again...
Well, when he was handed over to the sanctuary where I got him from his back had been shaved .... I think I know why now!
I'm terrified of another emergency vet trip for hair balls and nose infection with blocked nostrils.... Is there anything like Immac for rabbits (only joking!).

Re: He's at it again...
Oh yes, two of three are moulting here too. It only seems a fortnight ago since they stopped.
Hope Henry will cope better this time.

Are you using a zoom groom to brush him? They are fabulous!

Re: He's at it again...
Thumper: I've got a Zoom Groom and it was good at shifting the dead fur but it doesn't seem to hold it like a brush or a comb and I was caught in an awful cloud of dead Henry! Both of us ended up with blocked noses! And I daren't entertain the thought of trying to use a ZG on his tummy. It's just his underside that's shedding.
Jo: We are a mushy pair, Henry and me.... more me than him I suspect but he does give some lovely buts if there's the chance of a banana chip!
Today when I cleaned his tray I saw a really big, elongated poop with a thick(ish) strand of hair attaching it to a twin. He's been a bit quiet as well, like he had a tummy ache so I risked it and gave him 0.3 of metacam hoping to relax him and get him to exercise a bit.
Did I do right?
On the plus side: the ghost rabbits are fading, so he may be reaching the end of this moult-mare.

Thanks Jo. I sometimes think he would be better off bald wearing some fleecy jim-jams! He is so handsome and has such a gorgeous silver coat that is sooo soft and dense, but we pay such a price for his looks.

You are welcome hunni. It is such a shame he has to pay for having such a gorgeous coat I agree, after all, he didn't ask for it did he, love him?
