Oh, rubbing is allowed Katie... just don't drop your hand near the nostrils. Expect his little twitcher has been very uncomfortable to say the least.
He had his shredded wheat with ab on it again but was a bit suspicious of the smell. One shreddy was nearly two hours before it got eaten, hope the ab was still viable.

Re: Forgien object 3RD UPDATE
No Henry. What's going on another poorly bun. When Bertie had his breathing problems I used F10 and nebulised him. Using the children mask whilst he would sit on my lab. Maybe it's worth considering to keep the snot runny so it comes out easier.
Sending hugs, vibes and nose rubs(gentle ones) to you both.

Re: Forgien object 3RD UPDATE
I asked the vet about nebulising him but he felt that until the results of the swabs come back it might be best to stick to the antibiotics, which he now takes with a shredded wheat and no stress, and not risk stressing him by putting him in his box to nebulise. He did say that having the nebuliser going in the room with him so that there is an antiseptic presence in the air could be more positive in his case. So I'm doing that. A couple of times a day I run the nebuliser like a humidifier. I can notice the difference so Henry will to.
He said it wasn't actually a snotty nose. He had a white discharge in just one nostril and he was inclined to think it is an infection from an injury... hay up his nose etc. We just need the test results back. But it does seem like the antibiotics are having a positive affect, he's much brighter and eating well again.

Did they say how long the results would take?

Anything from three to six days. Certainly by the end of this week.

My best friend is nebulising a bunny at the moment but she is having to do it 3 to 4 times a day, poor bun.

Re: Forgien object 3RD UPDATE
Henry is doing fine. just the odd sneeze, I haven't heard any rough breathing in the last two days. I'm hoping the discharge is due to an infection after a misadventure with a bit of hay. He was never laboured in his breathing, you can tell that because only I heard it and then only when he was eating. It was nothing like the horrid stuffiness when he had fur up his nose during his mout-mare.
