You know Bruce has always been anti soft things to lie on. Well his arthritis is progressing and someone elsewhere suggested trying him with a memory foam bath mat. No I never imagined such a thing existed either. I tracked one down to dunelm -http://www.dunelm.com/product/memory-foam-bath-mat-1000044483 - and after a period of thumping at it both buns settled on it. Time will tell if it is chew proof!

No peeing on it? That might be a good sign.

Holly has a little mat at the side of the bed at the bottom so that she has something to grip onto when she jumps on my bed.  It has been there quite a while and she hasn't chewed it at all.

Well! it seems you may have a result! Did you at any point tell them that they wernt allowed on it... or that it wasnt theirs? That normally swings the decision from Daisy!

How old is the international bun of mystery now?

It does say it's a bath mat not a Bruce mat.

He is now 12 and he really flinched when the vet checked his spine/hip area so his metacam has been increased. It has done the job and he is much brighter again. He is drinking more and the vet was wary of the increased metacam due to kidney function but I think all you can really do with a grumpy geriatric is keep them comfortable.

And the mat is still being used and is in one piece so I plan to buy some more.

That is a fantastic age for a bun.  Ha ha Katie love, yes, if you tell them they can't do something you can be sure they will do it LOL!!
