Hello!
Hello hoppers!
It's been a very long time since my last post so I'm not sure if you will remember me. I had Vince, Hazel and Faline and I used to do the bunny portraits and felted bunnies.
A lot has happened in the last two years on a personal level but also with my bunnies.
My beautiful mini Rex Hazel died last summer, she went into stasis and after several trips and overnight stays to the vet, she was never the same again and I decided to have her PTS. She reached the age of 8 so she had a reasonably long life and an interesting one with all the DIY builds I did on their housing!
I also lost Vince and Faline a couple of months ago, exactly 51 weeks after the loss of Hazel. Faline went quiet and I wasn't overly concerned as sometimes they did have quiet days so I would just monitor them and they would be fine. Me worrying over nothing. However, this time I found her dead on the floor when I went out to them in the morning and Vince went into shock at her loss. He always favoured Faline of the two does and losing Faline was too much for him. I always worried about Vince being the last remaining bunny as he was so feisty and territorial. He went into mourning so I brought him indoors and I just knew he was going to pass too. 24 hours after Faline passed, so did Vince, in my arms at 4:25am in the morning. It was awful cos he didn't go peacefully, but I was glad he didn't go alone. I don't know why they died, they were only 7. With this new VHD2 strain going around, I had the vet take a sample from his liver for testing and the result was negative so I don't know what happened but I will never forget them.
Anyway, I knew I wanted to get more rabbits. What on earth was I going to do with all that runaround tunnel and run panels?!!!
So, I start to look for some new bunnies and I found myself three bunnies. All three are adopted from different places and I'm currently bonding the third to the first two. So, I would like to introduce Simba, a chinchilla lion head. Nala, a harlequin mini Rex and Pumba, a harlequin mini lop.
I need to re learn how to add photos!
I moved house last year so I have a new bunny house. A large out building with my runaround tunnels and run panels connected to it. It's still a work in progress. Pumba is a house bunny at the mo recovering her spay operation and being gently introduced to Simba and Nala.
So, I'm going to re familiarise with happy hoppers and figure out how to upload photos Wave

Re: Hello!
Hi good to see you back.
Sorry to hear of the loss of the three buns.
I still got the felted bubbles and Vernon sitting on my window seal in the lounge. Bertie's went with him when he got buried.
Need a new one tho for Dillon. If you still do them?
To add photos you need to have a site called photo bucket.
I think hang on let me go through and then post again.lol

Re: Hello!
Thanks, I will re aquaint myself with photo bucket!
I haven't felted for a little while but funnily enough someone messaged me asking me to repair a felted bunny that their cat had reworked! I need to crack on with that.
As for bonding the trio, I'm taking it slowly. I put Pumba in the middle of three pens and Simba and Nala on the outside pens. I found Nala got a bit stressed with Simab when Pumba was in sight so I keep the bonded two separate.
Nala and Simba was love and first sight which was good! Currently I'm swapping litter boxes and introducing them in a pen each altbthe same time, the pen is double walled so they can't bite each other's faces, Simba was trying to nip Pumba today. It's quite nerve wracking!
