Worried about bonding.. :(
I've been bonding my trio for about 24 hours now, and I'm getting a bit worried. Dougal is completely ignoring Dolly, which is fine. Doris is doing a bit of chasing and a nip about every 10 minutes or so, which is normal.
THe main thing I'm worried about is how badly Dolly seems to be reacting to it all. She's squeaking and stamping everytime Doris goes anywhere near her, breathing loudly, running away and crashing into things. She's terrified of Doris, even though she hasn't actually hurt her - and I'm worried that the stress will have a bad effect on her, make her ill? I've given her some rescue remedy but I don't know if it will help.
When is it time to call it a day?

Re: Worried about bonding.. :(
Sorry I can't give you any advise but am sending anit stress vibes for Dolly.
When I bonded my 4 Meggie lunged at anybun that came near her for at least 2 days then realised they weren't going to kill her and calmed down, I suppose it depends on how stressed she is getting and only you will know that as her mum.

Re: Worried about bonding.. :(
The bonding is off. She was so terrified that she screamed! so I took her out and gave up. It was a horrible horrible noise, and although she wasn't hurt at all, not even pulled fur - she'd worked herself up into a panic and even bit me compulsively for the next hour or so!
I don't know whether to try again in a few weeks or have her as a lone bun for a while, but she's so friendly she really needs company. The bond had almost worked too, Dougal was trying to protect her and comfort her, but she was too scared to realise.
