I dont tend to use the word... I just say that sort of Poo that they need to eat.....

It would be pronounced seek-a-troff because there is an area of the gut called the caecum (seekum) and in Anatomy it always made me think of Harry Secombe!

Oh my god - I think 'Secombe' too .... but didn't want to show my age

Yeah, seek-a-troff here too.

I'm still having to train myself to say "stay-sis" at the vets as I want to pronounce it 'Stas-is" but my vet pronounces it the first way, and it's still in my head as stas-is as I've read it for ages before having to say it out loud.

The next question is is there another animal that has such a lot of silly words associated with it? (caecotrophe, crepuscular, lagamorph, fibrevore)

Well, I tried stasis in there and you can pronounce it either way - I won't look stupid after all
