Hello Very Happy
I've never been on a forum before and have no idea what I'm posting or where!! I am a new bunny mum this year. I have 2 boy buns called McGregor and Nivens who live outside in 2 hutches with a run each and they have runaround pipes to a shared run with a chatting wall. They are lovely, but so far are proving difficult to bond. They are a similar age and were neutered over 2 months ago. I'll hit send and see where this ends up!!! (can't you tell I'm so computer literate!!?)

Hello and Welcome Wave

Don't worry you will soon will get the hang of it Very Happy

Two males can be difficult to bond as they are apt to fight, ideal bunnies to bond are a neutered male and spayed female.

You will have to post some photo's of them when you can, we love photos here Smile

Hello Wave and welcome to the forum. Don't worry I am sure you will get the hang of it in no time at all.

As Maysie said 2 males are a really difficult bond. However it takes a good 6 weeks for hormones to settle after neutering so really it is early days. If you want advice on specific behaviour issues just let us know. There are people with all sorts of different rabbit experiences here so someone is almost always able to help.

Aww...everyone's photos are lovely! I did try but couldn't manage it alone so will try again soon. Sarah Jane, Domino has ears like Nivens when one gets stuck in the air! He's very shy and I don't think he allow himself to be photographed like that....unlike McGregor who is such a cartwheeling show off....bit of a naughty boy really, master escapee! And very pretty but knows it! Wink

Hi there and welcome to HH Wave

Rabbits are like people and they can be fussy who they want to be friends with. Having said that, girl boy is the best arrangement, but even that doesn't always work. (I am currently in the midst of a girl boy bond where they absolutely loathe each other! Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes)

I have previously had a boy boy bond and it was absolutely fine. I bonded a boy from a pair where the female had died with a single male that I had who lived alone. He was quite a quiet buck and the buns did bond OK, although it was never as strong a bond as the female male bonds I have had - that have worked!

So really it all depends on the personalities of the buns. It might work but then again it might not - with either gender.

Hoping that things do work out for your guys.

Welcome Wave Dont worry about it, youll get the hang of things eventually. Ive been here almost a year now, and still occasionally post in the wrong place!

As other people have said, males can be difficult to bond, but at least they still have each others company when they use the shared/divided run. I hope things work out eventually? Could it be because they arent on neutral territory?

Looking forward to some pictures! Smile

Ok so I managed a photo of sorts....this white bun is nivens, he's very shy and quiet.....he's quite big and never really plays me up, he doesn't chew things, try to escape when I feed him and never gets lost in the garden...not any trouble at all bless him. He was born in RSPCA care as his mum was abandoned, and now he lives with us!

The only way I can let you see McGregor is to do it this way, the servimg.com isn't working very well. So can I introduce McGregor now, his photo says so much about him! He's into everything, master escapee when I try to feed him at 7am, falls in water, sits in rain, friends with anyone who notices him....he's great fun and a total show off......the polar opposite to the stillness and calm of Nivens!
