Hello and welcome Wave

I'm so sorry to hear you lost your bun Sad These bunnies steal your heart don't they? You are in good company here, I'm sure we have all lost some-bun along the way so we know how you're feeling Hugs

I lost my old lady Thumper in 2011 after nearly 11 years together and I felt like my world had ended. Be kind to yourself! Hugs

Welcome to HH.
I believe that we are grief and Moran our pets just as other humans or even more. Each time it is diferent but always hurtful.
Please look after yourself.
How to cope with the loss of your bunny. During a bereavement years ago I started a collage and found that helped.
Or a memory box or something of such kind.
Hope you will enjoy hopping about in the forum and looking forward to hear more from you.

Thank you to you all for your lovely messages. This is my 3rd bunny bereavement and they certainly don't get any
easier that's for sure. Flynn was extra special , I found him running around where I live , frightened and aggressive
After 7 days my vet said he was officially mine , and then began almost 6 months of gentle TLC before he began to gain
trust and he was a star, and we had 8 beautiful years together Love . I am considering signing up to do a rabbit care,
behaviour and welfare course and I was wondering if anyone on the forum has done one themselves? I would be doing
it for my own personal interest in all things rabbit, not for a career and it'll make me get out of my comfort zone
because I've never done anything like this before and I know Flynn will be guiding me every step of the way.
Hugs to everyone

He sounds like he was very special and that he landed on his paws when he came into your life.

I think one of our members Maysie did a course?????

Wave Thank you. I have geared myself up , got the money and I'm going to enrol Monday for the course.
Well out of my comfort zone but excited as well, never attempted anything like this before . Scary. If I don't try
I'll never know if I could have done it. Fingers crossed Thumbs Up

I'm doing a diploma course at the moment and it covers everything, I'm really enjoying it, it's something I have wanted to do for a long time but
didn't know there was any courses on rabbit welfare. Mine is an online course. Very Happy

Hi Thanks for your message Wave . The course I am wanting to do is also on line, it is with Animals Jobs Direct
and it is a 6 module diploma called rabbit care, behaviour and welfare and it also covers everything. Is it the same one?
I rang them this morning and I'm waiting for an advisor to ring me back. I feel it's something I want to do since I lost
my gorgeous boy, I really miss him but not ready for another bun yet Sad
study

Yes I enrolled and did it all online and then my tutor got in touch by email and I was sent my modules by email and printed them off.

Yes they are all rescues we did have 32 but we lost one last week ( Angora Jess in Rainbow Bridge ) so 31 now Smile
