Hi everyone!
Hello! My name is Brittani, I'm actually in the US in Utah, but since there seems to be no (or perhaps I've just not looked hard enough) good bunny forums for US based people, I've joined here! In just about 9 days I will be picking up my new baby boys, Blitz ( the white and gray) and Blaze ( black and white.) they're American fuzzy lop mixes!
I had rabbits my whole life up until I was about 16, but my parents were in charge and we had no idea that our rabbits should eat more then just pellets! I've since better informed my mom!
I plan to have my babies in my home with me, and will have them neutered between 4-6 months.
For my very first question ever, are these boys going to end up fighting? They are brothers and have been together since birth of course. I don't want to have to separate them, and would love for them to both be in the same large enclosure in my front room at night and free range during the day =]

Re: Hi everyone!
Hello and welcome It doesn't matter where in the world you are from, you are welcome here
They are gorgeous!
To avoid them fighting I would suggest neutering them as soon as they are ready (when their little boy bits have fully dropped) as this will help in heading off the crazy hormones that can lead to fighting. My little guy was done at 12 weeks without problem

Re: Hi everyone!
Hi there! A big welcome to you.
Lovely to have you here xx
I think that it's quite likely they will fight if you leave the neutering until 4 months. Their hormones will have kicked in before then and they can get territorial. 12 weeks is prob the best time :-)

Re: Hi everyone!
Hello and welcome - lovely bunnies.
They can be neutered as soon as their plums ( jokey British word for bunny testicles ) appear. In smaller bunnies this can be from 12 weeks onwards. Sooner is better than later - before anti-social behaviour such as spraying, humping and fighting develop!
