There is someone I'd like you all to meet

As you may know, after we lost Temperance MJ was very sad and lonely. We were spending as much time as we could with him but as we both work full time he was still alone for a significant portion of the day. Even when we were home, it was like he had lost his eyesight all over again, he just sat there. He wasn't eating very well, no flopping or binkies. He adoped a new spot which was between us on the back of the sofa. He'd go straight up there when we got in and that is where he'd stay. As well as this, MJ's eye drops have increased to 4 times a day at the moment and he was really struggling to keep his face clean as it was always so wet (the azopt which he gets 3 times a day can sting so sometimes his eyes water).

So we made the decision that we knew we had to, MJ needed a friend. It was a difficult decision and one that I was not ready for but we had to put MJ's needs first.

So everyone, meet Philip.

He is a 5yr old I'm guessing mini lop, because he is tiny. MJ is 2kg, Philip is 1.2kg.
He's very sweet, bonding hasn't gone as smoothly as we might have hoped (but our only previous experience was T and MJ which was love at first sight) however although there has been a bit of humping and chasing (and LOTS of buzzing from MJ), they are settling in together very well. Most of today the pen has been open and they have had a run about but mostly they've chose to stay snuggled up in the pen. MJ is much happier now he has Philip.

No, Thumper. It can just happen. It will be fine for days then I get one of those damned blank pages with the "Requested time as expired" notice in the top left corner. So VERY annoying as you have lost all you typed.

Thanks guys, there is still the occasional hump (and a fair bit of circling and buzzing from MJ) but for the most part they seem happy together.

I hope so, you know its funny because we noticed that MJ has been a little bit naughtier than usual over the last wee while and I couldn't help but think its almost like somebun is whispering in his ear.

That is only to be expected love, they are getting used to each other.  What is the odd hump between buns LOL?  Seriously, they are absolutely adorable and please keep us updated of their antics, I have a feeling that these two little cuties are going to be a lot of fun.

Oh I do hope so! Ive been thinking about her a lot in the run up to crimbo.... normally Id be posting my annual "its that hat time of year temperence" type post.

I think his name really suits him too.

Little xmas update, here are some pictures of the little dude.

Firstly my sister who hasn't met him yet wanted a size comparison so:


Here he is with his little stumpy arms stretched out, his little tail never seems to go down


Hanging out with my new slippers, he has claimed every square inch of them. MJ on the other hand prefers to try to eat them.


Now, more importantly. How are MJ and Philip getting on. I was getting a bit worried for a while that although they were friendly enough and there was grooming, there wasn't much in the way of snuggling or even sitting together. Well, things have taken a turn and I hope these pictures over the last few days are indicative of MJ's feelings







and from the last half hour:

This has really made me smile. I don't think he can be much bigger than Daisy. I'm a little in love xxxx
