Hi guys, sorry for my depart from the forum... again Embarassed I have literally not been able to post this past couple of weeks.... it hasn't let me! This is the first attempt where it has finally let me post, BUT...You know the box you type in? Well that's gone green, and my writing has turned into a different font too! Laughing I can't click on smilies either, I have to manually type them out! has this happened to anyone else? Its not my lappy... I went on at my aunts house on her laptop, but the same thing happens. I think it may be my account Sad

Hi Janak,

Check your profile to see if the "allow BBcode" option has been unticked.
Try logging out and clearing all cookies then logging back in - there may be a problem with cookie handling with your particular browser. Other causes may be a firewall issue - I note you are using two different computers - do they share the same connection?

phpBB (the software behind this forum) has some fairly flaky code where it comes to cookie handling - it may need one of the admins to hit the server with a large hammer for you.

One other thing you could try is to download a different browser (Jay will say Opera!) but try any of the alternatives to the browser you are currently using. (It's not IE 6 is it? If so, ditch it and get something a little more secure)

thanks alot James...I log on from the family computer, my laptop, and my phone too. All 3 run from the same wireless modem! And I hate IE, the first thing I did when I got my laptop was delete it Laughing I'm using Safari/Opera now!

will try deleting cookies and then unticking BBcodes! And my firewall has JUST expired yesterday. I used McAfee which came with a 60 day trial on the laptop... could you recommend any good/free ones out on the market?

Hey Janak,

Glad to hear it's working well. I wasn't entirely clear about the Allow bbCode part of my post, and as they say "A picture is worth a thousand words"
