Yes, it is Theo with no front teeth. I still have all mine just in case anyone ever tries to pick me up Twisted Evil

Theo manages whole SS pellets no problem, and even the really long fibafirst sticks. As long as he can get hold of food well enough to work it to his back teeth he is fine. He eats tons of hay. He does have his veggies cut up smaller. He can manage whole leaves of rocket, basil etc as he can work the food back to his teeth. The only things he struggles with a bit more is harder veg like cauliflower, broccoli and carrot which most buns would bite into with their front teeth. These Humum cuts up into bits about half the size of her thumbnail and he scoffs the lot.

He does sometimes pick food up then throw his head back to get it to his back teeth and this can be a bit alarming. It actually seems that 'longer' food is easier as long as it is quite thin.

Hudad sometimes doesn't realise quite how small he needs his hard veg cut up, and Humum goes into Theo's room to see him sitting next to piece of cauliflower staring at it forlornly Laughing As soon as she breaks it up for him, he noms it down.

The vet did say to really keep his weight down to make sure he is eating lots of hay to minimise any risk of further problems with his teeth. As a consequence he is very food motivated and will do anything for a pellet Embarassed

He does sometimes get a bit of muck around his bum because it is harder for him to clean himself properly. Minimum enriched food and plenty of hay seems to keep this to a minimum, but we have also had him treated with Rearguard just because his risk of flystrike is that bit higher.

Are you glad you asked? Laughing

They won't go out while you are looking, just in case you think they are grateful Wink

They're going to love it when they do venture out Very Happy
