Henry loves his food and he always comes when called.
He knows it's a banana chip when I call, "Wal-lah!" and he knows the word Toast. Now I've got him rushing for his SS4+ when I tap out SOS in Morse code on the dish with my finger nail!
I'm quite proud of him!

They're clever little things aren't they. And to think some reckon they are boring!!

I still think they train us tho, rather than us training them Wink

Henry is an older bun and very VERY into his grub. I'm wondering how to teach him the whole Morse code now, after all one of his best means of communicating is my thumping!

Ha ha ROFL 🤣I agree.

There are words which Holly understands but sometimes she choses to ignore them.  We share a bed which is the burrow as far as she is concerned,  When the "burrow" sheets need changing and she is still on there I say "off" and she understands. She also understands "bed bed bed" at night but always has to run around a few times before doing as mummy asks LOL!!

Well Claudia I do call Henry "Henry Ooh-Aah" that's pretty near 007 I guess.
But Henners isn't a very cunning bun and when I first got him and he was confined to a crate/pen combo his escape method was Up-front Brute Strength! He charged the pen side, rammed it and shook it and dragged it free of its fixings. He is very transparent; it's easy to see what's going on in that handsome head of his.
But he is quite intelligent so I shall persevere with the code teaching Laughing Laughing

Whilst most of the m are bright in some ways some, just like with us, are brighter than others.  I find with my guinea pigs, Lacy Jane is much quicker on the uptake than her hubby Mr Darcy, I find the females generally are smarter but greedier too.

Oh yes, deffo the females are brightest. Clawed was the cleverest of all my rabbits, and the craftiest and most loving and the bravest and most beautiful. She was my soul-bun.
Henry is rather wonderful and quite loving, he's clever too but needs to have a reason for showing it ... like food!

Yes, that s a good way of putting it love, some of them have to have a reason to show smart behaviour whereas with others it just comes naturally.  Sometimes Holly is really slow and other times she surprises me with her cleverness.

I'm def gonna say even though soundwave is a brave/curious wee soul he is really not the brightest:

He has jumped into his food bin and got his ass stuck and when u open the gate he doesn't realise and still tries to break out ( at the bit right under the gate) ROFL

Ha ha, Holly would stare at it thinking that there is something to be done with it but she wouldn't be able to work out what.  I have no doubt there are some buns who would happily go through them though. Very Happy

Hector knows his name and (when he chooses to) will come when called, he also knows the tone of my voice when I'm warning him not to do something Laughing when he was an only bun he knew that the side of his bowl being tapped meant crunchie time, and despite scientists saying that dogs are the only animals that can follow a point, he can follow a point! Need to get him studied, he's clearly a scientific marvel, ha
