GUY..lovely single bun looking for love 2005_022409decnew0002

This little man is a lovely friendly boy.We dont know his age but estimate he is between 1 and 2 yrs .

Guy will be neutered before being rehomed.

Guy came to us via the RSPCA who removed him from a garden after his previous owners moved out and left him behind. He had no food, water or bedding and was terribly thin .
He is now up to normal weight and seems a lovely healthy bunny .

He's absolutely gorgeous. One of my buns, a long term foster, Justin, sadly went to the Bridge recently with an inoperable stomach tumour. He was an outdoor bunny originally but had to live inside after he was diagnosed and I loved having an indoor bun and now think I'd like my next rescue bun to be indoors - especially one that is good with a litter tray. Justin never quite got the hang of it, bless him.

I don't know where you are based but expect you are too far away for me to be able to have this adorable little chap - I'm in Hampshire, near Portsmouth. I do work though. I recently replied to a free to a good home advert for an indoor bun and was turned down because I am not at home all day.

That's a real shame. He is totally adorable. I do drive but my car is very old and has done a huge mileage so I'm not sure I'd risk it so far. A home check would be a bit difficult too.

He is so lovely I guess you won't have any trouble finding him a local home.

Hi Rhianna,

I work all day any daisy is a house bun.... he has loads to occupy himself with while im out - he used to have a pen which i used to put him in while i was out so i dont really see the problem.......is that not the same as leaving a bunny in a hutch while you are at work?

Daisy then spends all eve in the front room with us on the sofa watching tv or springing around the place.

Surely the love you can give him is the more important thing?

Hope you find a house bun soon as I think this will be a very lucky bunny indeed!!

Thanks, Katie. I must admit I thought it was a bit over the top being told I wasn't suitable because I work. I am hoping my cats will keep a house bunny company and, if not, I would get a second one and bond them.

I am sure somewhere out there is a bunny in rescue just waiting to come and shred my house to bits.

If I don't find one over the next couple of months I will go back to Cat and Rabbit Rescue but I don't want to go there yet - it's too full of painful memories, and I'm not sure what their policy is on house bunnies. I definitely don't want another foster bunny either. It was just too stressful not being in control when Justin was ill.

Hopefully, this gorgeous bunny will find a lovely, local home.

Travelling from where? Anywhere near where this gorgeous bunny is based? Surrey would be very do-able for me to get to. Oooh I am all excited now. I can't understand how anyone could move home and just leave a rabbit. He must have been so scared and confused. I'd give him a fantastic home. He deserves to spend the rest of his life being a Very Happy Bunny!

Sooz isnt far from us ... Wave

we do usualy expect single housebuns to have human company most of the day ...BUT..this poor fella has had such a hard time that i could possibly bend the rules if it meant he would be warm, dry and well fed for the rest of his life Wink

Hello,

I have met Rhianna (I met her at the bunny santuary volunteering xmas day) and from what I saw and the way she talked about her buns - and from how much she loved Justin i can vouch for the fact that this bun would not only be warm dry and well fed he would also be loved loved loved and a very lucky bun indeed.

I really hope this works out.

I'm in Sheffield which is very close to BARC, who I foster for, now I also know Kirsty is coming over to mine on Friday and she is in Doncaster and could maybe be nicely asked to bring guy to mine with her.

The only thing is that my Step-Mum is highly allergic to rabbits so he would have to be collected pretty much straight away once we get to my Dad's house as I can't take him inside and wouldn't trust him in the garden with my Dad's dogs.

My Dad lives in Dorking, Surrey.

Hi Sooz

It would be no problem to get to your Dad's before you do so that you don't have to worry about little Guy. Would this be on Sunday?

Will 'phone Angie tomorrow to find out what I will need to buy to make sure Guy has all he needs and to sort out what refs etc I need to supply.

It would be so great if you could bring Guy to Surrey. I really, really appreciate it. There is something about his little face that made me melt and want to give him everything he deserves so he is never scared and hungry again.

Thank you Katie for the kind things you have said. Yes, I did love Justin lots and only wish I could have had him for longer to make up for the horrible life he had before he went to rescue.

Hi Rhianna

Yes it would be this Sunday, We would probably arrive early afternoon but I need to check with my brother who is driving. If you can give Angie a ring and discuss the adoption and then let me know if it is going ahead I will see if Kirsty would be able to bring Guy over, if not then Angie may be able to find someone else able to do it.

I don't wanna push my luck with my brother if I can help it, as he is now playing pet taxi for a dog and a rabbit. Embarassed Laughing

Quick update: Kirsty can bring Guy to mine Friday evening when she takes her foster bunny Archie over to BARC, as Archie can have Guy's rescue space.

Rhianna could you MP me to sort out the details at the other end please. Thanks. Smile

Will do. Have just got in. Been to Pets at Home Very Happy Looking for toys and treats for my new fur baby who is going to be called George. I wanted to keep part of the name from rescue and think he looks like a George so he is George Guy Bunny. A superior name for a superior bunny. Calling him George is the ultimate compliment as George Clooney is one of my heroes. I went to see his latest film at the weekend and drooled throughout! And George Bunny is just as handsome!

Have just 'phoned a friend to arrange to borrow his sat nav on Sunday as my sense of direction is really bad.

Will PM you. It will be good to meet you and thank you so much for doing this. I am very excited about my new house bunny. Have just put my outdoor buns to bed and were telling them all about it.

Guy/George is going to be a house bun. I've never had one before so am going to start a new thread to make sure I don't miss anything out.

I did do one on another forum I belong to and got some ideas but that was before I had actually found a bun. I was determined to rescue and not get one from a pet shop.

Now, I only have a few days so it is shopping time!

I've proper fallen for this bunny seeing his pictures and the descriptions of him, I'm so pleased for him. He was on my list of "if only I had the room, I'd have this one" Love Love

Wishing him (and hoomans involved) a stress-free journey.

I hope you'll be posting loads of pictures of him when he's settled in Very Happy
