Found you!
Hello there
Found you, thanks to a tip off from Charlotte!
Here are my/our bunsters who you may just recognise!
First up is Herbie, our first bunny from May of last year. Even OH thinks he is one cool dude. His hobbies include escaping from his run (fingers crossed he is now thwarted) and winding up our 18 year old cat. He is having a bad hair day in the wind.
His partner is our little dot Hollie. She worships Herbie and desperately tries to groom him (would you want to!) even when he is being grumpy cos he is aware of the other rabbits. She is extremely smart and has lids off tupperware tubs in a flash. She also mastered the cat flap straight away to get into her run. We gave up with Herbie and now prop it open.
This is Hollie's bigger fluffier sister Rosie, our Miss Timid. She was never truly happy indoors in a threesome with Herb and Hollie and when the bond broke down when the girls had to be spayed separately we found her a man all of her own. Now she has a man and a new pad she is so much happier and has lost her worried look. We can now even stroke her (sometimes!)
This is her man, BJ (Blackjack - my secret favourite). With his moult his lionhead genes have become more pronounced and he now sports some sideburns and a foppish fringe. His main aim in life is to chew his way out of his shed and we had to take ever increasing measures to stop him from getting to where he shouldn't. I suspect he also has mountain goat genes besides the lionhead.
And this is Gabriel, rescued from a meat market for less than £1.50. He has been with us for about six weeks and I admit I was worried about him coming as he had been a bit territorial at the rescue he came from. Within a couple of days he had stopped grunting at us and is now an angel in his hutch. He is just so happy to be alive that he is our binky king. He runs and leaps so much, I guess he is just full of the joy of life.
His infectious love of life has rubbed off on his girl, Nia. She is a RSPCA cruelty case who we adopted through Catswhiskas. She is a quiet, gentle little soul who loves her food. Out in the big run with Gabe she runs around with him and binkies too. Seeing the pair of them so joyous is just so rewarding.
And that's the lot!
Am looking forward to meeting you all here,
Vanessa xx

Thank you for your welcome!
I have had little chance of exploring here properly yet - kids off school, OH away and joiner and decorator at work - but from what I have seen so far this is a fantastic forum
