Do you vaccinate against myxi and VHD?

At the moment Archie and Molly are vaccinated against myxi and are getting vaccinated against VHD the week after next. Are your rabbits vaccinated against both myxi and vhd? Sorry to be nosey

Bunnies should always vac'd against both. Both diseases are horrifically nasty, and it wouldnt be right not to.

I never thought twice about getting them both vacs done! I think we have to do everything we can to protect our little guys and gals

I do, myxi twice a year, VHD once, the only reason I wouldn't is if the bun was unwell and/or old, under vets advice.

I can't vote because there isn't an option for mine

'Some' bunnies are vaccinated just for Myxo usually twice a year but sometimes once a year depending on health

No bunnies are vaccinated just for VHD and nothing else

It's because I have so many poorly bunnies that are on permanat medication and therefore can't be vaccinated, my vets reviews each rabbit and assesses accordingly, we have just vaccinated 42 bunnies for Myxo but there are a couple that weren't done but might be in a few weeks, it's an ongoing thing with ours

But I would ALWAYS advise vaccinating healthy rabbits and ALWAYS advise taking the the advice of the vet

I only vaccinate against VHD because the myxi vaccine is illegal in Australia and not allowed.

But if I could, I would vaccinate against both.

It's illegal? Id never have thought that. Why?

Fudge is off for his Mxyi booster this afternoon-I've not told him yet!
His 2nd booster for Mxyi will be September and his VHD is October!

Thank you for telling me I am definetly getting Archie and Molly vaccinated, I just have to save up a bit more money. I would have saved it all up before I got them but I wasn't expecting to get them as early as I did (I wasn't meant to get them until this month and I got them about 3 weeks ago) I should have enough money by next week though so they will get vaccinated then

Mine are vaccinated for myxi twice a year and for VHD once a year. I now use Anivac for the VHD.

I would get it done anyway, but it is a condition of my insurance policy that they are vaccinated.

I like to get them done as its an excuse to get them checked over 3 times a year.
