Teach and treat! ** U/D photos added**
So I have finally bought...and no there are no photos here yet but there shall be once I get it set up and then I'll take photos to show how it has gone....
It looks quite complicated atm, so I'm off to read the instruction manual
For anyone who's not sure what I mean, I bought this....
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rabbit-Living-World-Teach-Interactive/dp/B004HYW9B8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1302013405&sr=8-1
Although I got mine from a local petshop for ten pounds...so offs I go, I shall be back to update in a bit!

I have one of those! Romeo is the only one who will play along the others expect me to lift the things off and give it to them

I'm hoping Thistle will love it as he likes things like that, Luna I'm not sure about, she'll probs get him to do all the work!

Ooooh, I was thinkin of geting one of these for Roo, but fear she will just sit and stare cluelessly at it, and then when she does realise it takes a bit of effort, lose all interest completely! Im intrigued to see how you get on x

This is what all of mine did apart from Romeo. They all looked at me as if to say " Well, aren't you going to give me the treats"

Well this is how we have got on so far, even though level three is supposed to be harder than level 2, I thought level 2 was actually more difficult for them....
So here's stage one... (I put Science selective pellets in, instead of treats)
You put in the large disc and they slide it around to get the pellets, with two rabbits working together this didn't last very long so I only got one photo ha....
This is stage two, you put pellets under the blue things and the idea is the rabbits pick it up, on second go as you can see Thistle found better, faster ways of getting things done...either that or he was having a rock star moment and decided to trash the place...
In this one Thistle has actually pulled the blue thing out and is throwing it in the air but I just missed it ...
And by this point Luna decided to leave Thistle to his madness...
Stage three....You put the white guard in the middle and then the blue parts slide along so the rabbit has to push it around with its nose/paw...in this case nose! This was over really quickly with the both of them using it...
All in all I'd say it's pretty good! And I'm sure I'll find more ways of making it harder and different for them, not totally sure it's worth £10 + so if u want it shop around for a cheaper deal or second hand one. It does say in the booklet ways of getting the animal to learn how to use it, so I guess if they did just sit infront of it and get confused, u can use some of those tips!
Thistle is now eating the instruction booklet....

Awesome! I shall try and film it tomorrow when my OH is home, because then you can see how they act with it properly. I think it'd suit a single bun more because with two of them they work it out a lot quicker and steal each others pellets haha

Oh wow they seem to be really enjoying themselves (if not conquering it far too easily!) It seems like a really cool toy, I might have to see if there are any similar ones over here

Haha I had such a giggle at Thistles rock star moment lifting the whole thing up.
I'm going to have to give it another go with Tigger, she seems to expect me to do all the work.
So great to see them enjoying it though!

Re: Teach and treat! ** U/D photos added**
I gave this a go again yesterday and because she's older she is really getting the hang of it... so much so I wasn't putting the food under the cups quick enough yesterday and she actually grunted at me

Re: Teach and treat! ** U/D photos added**
Ha ha ha ha that's brilliant! Glad she's picked it up now so it hasn't turned out to be a waste of moniesss . Luna thinks the treat is IN the blue cup and when she picks one up she runs off with it across the room to keep her prize to herself....while that's going on Thistle eats what she left behind poor girl!

I've been in contact withthe company that make the Teach & Treat and they are going to send me a sample to review for HM
They also asked if they could use your photos (along with any that SJ & I take) for their PR. Let me know if you're ok with that or not, and I'll send them over, or not.

Re: Teach and treat! ** U/D photos added**
i'm SO getting this for Chewy!
I'm always looking for ways to entertain him more, since he always seems bored unless he's on the beach.
I was wondering, would this work for guinea pigs, do they make one for them?
EDIT: Aaaaw, I was about to order it along with a book I've been wanting for a while, but it says it can't be shipped to Spain.. I really want this, I'm certain that Chewy would love it.
Does anyone know of another website I could get it from that ships to Spain?
