Brain Damage Empty Brain Damage

Post by Lil & Ron's Mum Sat Apr 23, 2011 6:12 pm

Does anyone own or know of a brain damaged bunny??
Our Lil is brain damaged. She is as skinny as a rake but eats for England. She is so forgetful. Sleeps 24/7 (when she isn't eating or causing mishief) And her sleeps are so deep she doesn't wake up to have a wee. Oh and she always has a gormless look on her face. Rolling Eyes
Does any one else have a bun like Lil, do they treat them or have to do things different for them??

I think that Theo has a couple of disabled buns, one of which has brain-damage. She might reply.

EC, (trauma of losing her husbun and trying to find a new boyfriend) the vet that we no longer go to see told us to put her to sleep as she was thrashing and her head was on completely upside down. Told us it was no life for her or us, we said 'no way' and walked out.

Hi, yes I have several brain damaged bunnies and they live life to the full, they are very happy and I totally agree with you that they should not have been PTS'd, I have found that gentle stimulation and whispering has helped them no end, they do understand even though they are brain damaged and can be so responsive, well done for caring your bunny and doing the right thing for her

She is sooo loving to us (we had to split her up from her new boyfriend as she was attacking him all the time, even when she was so weak)
She wants constant fusses when she is awake, and a while ago she was at the vets for a ultrasound scan as she has blood in her urine and all the staff fell in love with her as she was begging for attention.
Just wish we could put her and Ron back together as he misses her.
We call her our little sticky bogey cos where ever you go she is at your feet.
She falls asleep while eating, then wakes up looking puzzled with food hanging out of her mouth.

This little girls sounds SO sweet! Just proves to the vets that there was absolutely no need for her to be PTS Love
I'd better not meet her, I might not let her go Laughing there is something so charismatic about disabled animals that I adore.
