For Sooz, CatsWhiskas and Rachel69! About wildies!
Hi
I'm still having an issue with my wildie Spudsey.....she is chasing her poor companion every morning and every evening up and down round and round in an aggresive manner, grunting and pulling out his fur. she is so fast and wears poor BB out! And the noise is sooo loud I am surprised that complaints haven't come in yet from the neighbours!
I am trying to keep her occupied but need some more ideas....looking to put some tunnels coming out of the run later this year to give them more space. Is anyone elses female wildie like this?

Oh Crikey, they can be a bit crazy, although I've never reared one. Cardboard box mansions - activity feeders (treat balls), flower pots upturned with food under them, that kinda thing. You could always try her on a bunny assault course or similar - see if she can be clicker trained?

Hiya Jay
Yes I thought about putting together some kind of cardboard mansion or tunnels, already got one box that she likes to sit on. Might put an old photocopy box in her bedroom as she seems to like ripping everything out of there! Have hung plant pots off the top of the run and hid food in there plus other little pots, and have ordered some treat balls too.
Will look at the clicker training have seen some bunny jumps.

Have a look on the You Tube channel, there's a great treatball video on there, the Rabbit awareness week site has a great article on CT, written by Anne McBride, and my bridge bun, bertie is on the video at the bottom of the page http://www.rabbitawarenessweek.co.uk/fun/how-to-clicker-train-your-rabbit

Re: For Sooz, CatsWhiskas and Rachel69! About wildies!
I'm afraid my female wildie is totally intolerant of other rabbits in general, to the point she can't be bonded. I'd say the most important thing is to provide her mate with space/the option, to hide away if he is finding her too much as that way he is more likely to retreat than retaliate if he feels backed in to a corner by her and needs a break.
Lot's of boxes/hidey holes which are open at both ends (so he doesn't get cornered) are one way of achieving this.
Whenever I tried to bond Juno she would goad her potential suitor to the point they felt they had no choice but to physically tell her to back off, and i tried her with the most submissive rabbits imaginable.

A friend of mine had a wildie and whilst she was young, she was a fiesty little thing, but calmed down later. Sorry I can't be of more help love.
