I have the evidence. All 7 have been playing for over an hour in runs one run used to be the 3 girls and the other run still is the other groups but despite territory only the usually "go away" scuffled but very settled.






Aiming to gut out and disinfect the shed on monday/tuesday and try them they are going to well.

I bonded a seven once, but they were a trio and a four already and they bonded without one scuffle, I think its because they were a group already and just thought "oh...more of us, right i see"

This is a trio and 4 so gives me hope. They are loose in run and shed just now. I need to go out and I am comfortable enough to go out for half hour without a fight so thats a good sign

Little setback last night but not giving up, nothing major just a big bit hair from taffie. Tonight has been too hot for it but tomorrow I will carry on

Indie and Peanut just spent their first night with the group after a good day together, Was worried last night but no hair pulled or anything this morning. Cookie was horrible yesterday so spent the night alone although she could sniff everybody. The group of 4 are so quiet and easy going they will just take it so I need indie and peanut kinda on the other side so they tell her off. Shes not being nasty just a bit of a bully so cookie is todays mission.

I tried cookie for an hour this morning and shes being a real bully but no one will tell her so as horrible as it sounds I had to be the bossy one and for a while used reverse psychology. I was with everyone else and when she came in the shed she was chasing and hair pulling so i pretended to nip her bum with my fingers and chased her back out each time untile she saw she was on her own and really wanted in the shed. She will take a lot of work but it needs done lol

Thats Indie and Peanut about 90% in the group, just got a bit of grooming to see before its official. Having problems with cookie though shes always been the quiet one yet how many bottom level rabbits will go into a group of 6 in their territory and bully them. I might lift her cage off the floor as I think she is very confused, loosing dylan, moving sheds, her 2 friends "betraying her" and joining another group and then being caged in their area. If I lift her up and wait till she craves the company again she might loose the agressive attitude and I can start the bonding process with the last one.



I do confess they live with 2 guineas but I have a bit of a system where they cant eat each others food, theres no barbering due to the space either and the guineas have their extra supplements seperate so no one shout at me lol I wouldnt do it in a hutch environment but they have a 6x16 run and a 6x8 shed which only serves as their bed and food area

Could Cookie, rather than being a bit of a bully, really just be very scared. You said she was quiet and it might be that she is acting out of fear rather than aggression. It might be that it has all been a bit too fast for her and you might need to add her into the mix and sit with them and then take her out for a while. Build up the time she is with them so she can stop being scared and enjoy the company.

Don't worry about the GPs. We know it isn't ideal, but you know your animals and know what to look out for and nobody on here is going to say anything critical. We only advise constructively on this forum.

I know cookies usual fear reaction but today she would sit with them for a few minutes then just decide to bite and chase someone which isnt fear but I dont mind taking it slow with her. I went out and bought a hutch today while I had money, a 5x2 double in the shed just for a bed for them all considering there will be 7 and 2 guineas so they have even more space and its gonna be much cosier come winter. cookie was out for 30 with them tonight too a little bit better after jeff retaliated. I think she needs the security of being bottom just as a dogs agression issues usually arise because they are at the top and fear everyones safety but are more secure and calm at the bottom of the pecking order.

There was a lot of hair from saphie this morning but I think jeff might have just got carried away with himself but no one seemed too bothered. Cookie is still iffy but giving her a few days off and starting bonding again. Got a lot on too as I currently have a 7 week old sad quiet budgie in my arms who thinks I am mummy lol.

I have seen grooming between peanut, saphie, indie and jeff so far so looking good.
