Today Jess became a rabbit and she loved it.

Today we wanted to show Jess what being a rabbit should be like and so this morning she had a little haircut so we could see those beautiful eyes of her's which are blue. Not a great hair cut but we don't want neatness at the moment we just want Jess to be happy and enjoy life.
So after her breakfast Mike gave her a trim and she was very good about it.











While she was having a trim I got her play pen ready and filled it with toys and tunnels and Mike put her in it after her trim and she just couldn't cope at first with the space she sort of stayed down one end not realising she had all the freedom of the pen but when we went out the shed and watched her on the television as we have cctv camera set up in the shed Jess discovered the extra space and then there was no stopping her she was running round, chinning everything and just so excited

















later on in the day we decided to let her meet Kenzo her intended and so we put them both out in the large runs next to each other.

She's so cute! The discovery of being a "real" rabbit is so touching, she is a very lucky girl.

Jess has settled in very well, she loves her hutch and hiding in the hay and now that she knows what they are all about she has started to play with her toys, she isn't keen to be handled and can be difficult to catch to pick up and is apt to make little noises when picked up as if she is scared but that goes once she realises that it's not such a bad thing to be picked up and nothing nasty is going to happen to her, she is still quite matted in places but we just want to give her some time to settle and enjoy herself before we start on the matts.
When I go in to her she hide's which is a bit upsetting for me but in time I'm hoping that she will not hide anymore. I do wonder what she has endured in her short life so far obviously from her behaviour it wasn't good but we can change that it may take a long time but we will get there in the end

Thank You, Jess is actually in the boarding shed at the moment until we can get her bonded with Kenzo as we have no space for her in our garage with the other rescues till we get some bonded and then we will have more room

She is absolutely gorgeous and just the sort of little fluffy bunny I love. I have had two in the past with long fur both hated their daily grooming though LOL!!
