I met a frog today
He was hiding in an old plant pot that my amah and I were nicking from next door (it's empty so all plants are fair game )
I gave him a shower
And sent him on his way. He is now residing somewhere in the storm drains outside our house :luv:
Although opdgy, do not be fooled - he was one hell of a quick hopper! Energetic for such a little tubster

Re: I met a frog today
Garry was my White's Tree Frog I had for work. Given to me in the teeniest box you can imagine (about half a shoe box in dimensions) he was so funny when I put him in his very own fishtank (minus the water) for the first time. He jumped the full 4 feet and then looked around rather bewildered as to why he hadn't bashed into anything
He went anorexic for a while and I was told by pet shops and websites alike to get him a full-spectrum UV light (to simulate the brighter daylight he would get in the rainforest) but work, when I rang them up as a courtesy (I didn't have to get authorisation as the amount was so small) said "Oh, don't bother with the light. we've been breeding them for years and they dont need it." (they didn't breed the frogs!). I told them that he would eventually die as he hadn't eaten in weeks and they said "well don't spend 15 quid on a fancy light, when he dies we'll just post [yes you heard it right, POST a vertebrate - highly illegal apart from being uneccesarily cruel] you a new one, they're only a tenner"
Needless to say I didn't stay there long but I know the colleague Garry went to and I think he'll be looked after well.

POST? OMG....that's a whole new take on the frog in a blender joke!
I begged my parents for a pet frog as a child...they said no, so I caught my own, and he lived in a washing up bowl in the garage. He was called Fraggle. :luv:

fraggle
Trevor the toad did arrive in the post. dehydrated and shaken but he recovered well enough. honestly they had no concept. they didn't even KNOW rabbits had to be vaccinated let alone were willing to pay for them.
dont get me started on that place
