mushrooms
Hi,
I have read somewhere that mushrooms are poisonous to buns.... They keep growing in the garden specially at this time of year. I have 2 different mushroom types... one is white and called puff ball I think and the other are minature brown ones with little hats on.
Every morning before letting my buns out I scan the garden and remove the browns quite easily but the white ones have to be dug up leaving mole size holes...
Am I right to do this or just a bit crazy ?

Re: mushrooms
Mushroom's are toxic to rabbits, we also take all seeds out of apples and pears as they contain Cyanide which is toxic to rabbits as well as humans.
this is interesting to read.

They are all over my garden just now too, it's a nightmare!
Thumper doesn't go out much these days because she's old and sleepy and doesn't show much interest but she was out for a little bit on Saturday and I was following her about like a crazy stalker!

Re: mushrooms
its good to know I am in the company of other mushroom pickers... the one thing i panick about is not getting the whole mushroom ad then them eating grass and accidentally eating a mushroom..... As mushrooms r quite smelly I wonder if the bunnies would naturally steer away from them...
