Blanket <3 The story so far.....*Pic Heavy*

So, its been a little over 2 weeks since Blankets arrival and I can honestly say the boy amazes me every single day!
The first day we got him, I expected him to be a bit grumpy to be honest, after all it was right after his neutering and he had to leave his little brother too! So the poor little guy was perfectly entitled to be a bit miserable, its been a tough couple of days for him...But infact he was completely the opposite! I put his carrier on the floor and just opened the door, he didnt hesitate to come out and start exploring one bit! Ryan got the video camera out, as I sat cross legged on the floor watching him. His cage was all ready for him, as you will see from the pics it looks like a proper little boys room
He slowly walked over towards his new cage with a real curious stance, bobbing his head up and down like one of those nodding dashboard mascots! He hopped into his cage (he looks so tiny in there compared to Roo) He turned around to look at me in a way that almost said 'Is this all mine?, awww gawsh!' (I imagine him to have the same voice as flower the skunk from Bambi) Then he got a whiff of the fresh dandelions in his salad bowl and that was it, he threw his face in em, and sat there munching with a real look of contentment til they were all gone!
After a good old munch he started to explore the rest of the room! First the tunnel, he loves that! Then the diggy box, he loves that too! Then off he went down the hallways, inspecting the facilities a such, I could tell pretty much instantly that he was one pretty fearless little bun, just like Roo! I love a bit of attitude in my buns, I myself am known for bein strongminded to say they least!
Then the binkys started! That was my surefire signal that he thought he was gonna be very happy here!


It wasn't long at all before he started periscoping, checking out these higher levels where the hoomins sit! Then he discovered that he could sit even higher up than the hoomins...

He really is such a character, he is everywhere, into everything! He also has some hilarious little personality traits too! He is really bossy, he will push you right outta the way if he is trying to get somewhere, and if that fails, he will dig at you til you surrender...I have been boxed for telling him he cant chew the carpet, after all this is his house, so why on earth can he not chew his carpet?!...I have been nipped for not moving my legs fast enough from my OWN footrest, He needed to get down and I was clearly delaying his very important mission! But he also has a loving affectionate side, which didnt really show much til the second week. He will often lick my nose, arms and shoulders now...although he also has a strange fetish for trying to pluck my eyebrows He has even started hopping up onto my lap for fuss when I am sat on the sofa too! He also sits on the back of the sofa and licks Ryans bald patch which is hilarious!
I really didnt expect him to settle as fast as he has, but as you can see from the pics he has his big furry hopper wedged right in the door

He is just adorable isnt he I am so happy he is in your lives, he will never replace Roo but its lovely that he has helped you heal and he has a never home

He's an adorable boy!!

He is absolutely gorgeous and I love his colour and the dark patch on one side of his face he just look's a cheeky boy

Jo these pictures are immense and really show what a beautiful wee chap he is. He just looks so settled and happy. Roo is keeping tabs I am sure. Hugs x
