Re: 3 legged rabbit
My Cerys has half a front leg missing, caused by her Mum we think as its not a surgical amputation.
Harry had a hind leg amputated a few months ago after sustaining a compound fracture in a nasty accident.
Both Buns cope perfectly well

Boblets' Lucy has 3 legs and she seems to get on fine! A sweet little lady.
Can't wait to see pics of your legless bunster

I think Juno will have to have half her front leg amputated, hopefully not all of it as previously suspected.
Re: 3 legged rabbit
Do buns manage better with a half a leg then? I'd always imagined that they'd be better off having the leg totally removed if they had a fracture? Not sure why I thought that...perhaps so they don't have to carry around the weight?

Re: 3 legged rabbit
Well Juno dosn't have a fracture but the 'wrist joint' drags on the floor and becomes inflammed and infected. Above this the leg dosn't cause problems and she can lift it at the shoulder so I feel she would have more benefit only loosing part of the leg rather than all of it.
