Dental costs?
Please can anyone advise the rough cost for a dental?
Im looking at p@h insurance but they limit dentals to £350 a year of the £1500 cover.
Milo has no signs of dental issues but just wondering if he did is £350 a year sensible cover?

Re: Dental costs?
Dentals are a bit of a grey area in insurance. I had a quick look at the insurance conditions for PAH and they only cover treatment 'as a result of injury or illness'. Often this does not cover rabbits having problems with their teeth because that is way they have developed.
If there was, say, an abscess and they had to remove teeth or do a burring because of a sore bit on an internal cheek that stopped the rabbit eating, then that amount would be more than adequate for the dental element.

Fudge is a dental bunny but only SOMETIMES are his dentals covered by his insurance! If he has dental work because it has caused inflammation/soreness in his mouth (cut into cheek/tongue) and requires a G/A and burring to stop it getting any worse PetPlan paid (they reckon this was Goodwill but I am not so sure!) however even though he has frequent dental checks if the vet spotted a problem and he needed a G/A to have the teeth done BEFORE it cut into his tongue/cheek etc then it is NOT covered by his insurance...

Thats not good!! or encourtaging so because Fudge isnt suffering wuith cuts he cannot get the free treatment
Re: Dental costs?
Dont get me started Karen! I did point out to them that it didn't seem right he had to be suffering in order that it be treated on his insurance and pointed out that if it were a HUMAN CHILD rather than a FURBABY social services would be banging down my door! I've pretty much given up putting dentals through his insurance!
