Why Do They Allways Look So Sad

[b]Is it me or do all bunns look realy sad all the time. Maybey its there eyes or the expresionless face. With most other animals you can usualy tell from there expresion if they are happy with bunns I can never tell. Anyone any tips on this apart from when they start doing binkys??

Some of my buns have sad faces and some have smiley faces, Rosie always look's miserable until she's hear's the lid on the fenugreek crunchies jar and then she sort of cheer's up

[b]Its mainly Jazz he allways looks so sad and I feel sorry for him then kick myself because he and the others are spoilt rotten so he cant realy be sad

aww, our rosemary ALWAYS looks miserable she is fat and grumpy and doesnt like anyother rabbit in her way, and woe be tide you if you are.
Think some just have that type of face thb. does he wiggle his tail?? our roman does ad he has a sad face xx

Thumper always looks sad when she is lying down. Like you say, I think it's her eyes that give that impression.

I must have an odd bunny then because Buttons always looks happy!!! (maybe that just me hypnotised by his cuteness so don't notice any grumpy faces!!!)

My 2 both have a variety of expressions. Bruce used to do a great one where he would find something to peer around at you all wide eyed with an expression that said 'look at me I am cute!' He does not do it anymore, perhaps it is because he found it did not work Flo does annoyed, contented, thoughtful, cunning (when she is planning how to jump on top of something) and a particular face she pulls when a caecotrophe is on it's way.

Apparently if they slow blink they are smiling and obviously if they are often doing bunny flops/keels they are happy. I found this website quite informative Rabbit Talk

Lil Loll as very expressive ears. When I'm on the phone one ears usually laid back but the other is pricked... earwigging!

Flopsy always looks sad but Flora has the look of a liitle minx, as if to say "hmm what should i do next to be a naught bun"

I had forgotten, until he pulled it last night, that Bruce also does disapproving. He reserves it for when you are eating crisps or chocolate and then he sits in the middle of the room and glares at you until you are done or put it away. It is not unlike this ! He doesn't want any - he thinks they both smell disgusting. If only I did!

haha, a disapproving bunny for eating junk, i wish mine would do that!!! i open a packet of crisps and buttons is straight on my lap trying to get his head in!!!

How on earth could your buns be sad Ruffin? That crazy gang of yours live the life of kings, and as for the ever bossy ruffin.......

snowflake always looks miserable as sin,i just put it down to spike trying to hump her all the time spike has a very cheeky face,shes always thinking what naughty things she can do next

Ah Flo always looks serene with regards to the humping issues. She waits until Bruce thinks he isjust positioned then she gets up and walks off!She enjoys her little bit of power!

The saddest I ever saw a bun was when Mr Toast O'Riley rejected Truffle.
It was a strange set up... Truffle was Toffee's daughter and they both lived with Riley. He was neutered, they weren't. Truffle was Riley's love interest and he was quite obliging, most of the time. But there came the day when she was just too demanding (the day she earned the title: The Slut Wiv the Scut). She took to trying to wriggle herself under him and finally Riley put her in her place... he hopped forward and peed all over her head!!

Poor Truff.... she retired to a corner of the pen and I swear she wept!
